Where 19th century charm meets 21st century amenities and comfort...The Emerson Inn by the Sea is a classic, New England, turn-of-the-century hotel located on the ocean at Pigeon Cove. We offer 36 smoke-free guest rooms, many with magnificent ocean vistas, and an ocean view cottage that are graciously appointed with period furnishings, private baths, cable television, telephones, internet access and individually controlled heat and air conditioning. Although we do not have an elevator, two or our rooms are located on the main level of the inn and are accessible by wheelchair ramp. All rates include our country inn breakfast-a full, hot breakfast(May-October), or a deluxe continental breakfast(November-April). From a leisurely stroll through the Rockport art galleries and shops, to a marine life adventure, the Emerson is surrounded by a diversity of activities. For the more relaxing retreat, there's the option of an afternoon at the local day spa for a facial or massage. Or perhaps a dip in our heated, outdoor pool(seasonal). Enjoy oceanfront, candle light dining in our award-winning restaurant, The Grand Cafe-a Yankee Magazine Travel Guide to New England "editors' pick." The Grand Cafe is open all year however, days and hours of service vary by season. So if you plan to dine with us, please reserve well in advance of your arrival. And of course we're always available for special events...from business conferences and family retreats to weddings in the grand style.
