The Henry Ford Museum and Greenfield Village

The Henry Ford Museum and Greenfield Village in Dearborn is definitely one of the top Detroit attractions, and for good reason. Motown Historical Museum

Founded in 1985, the Motown Historical Museum is one of the most popular Detroit attractions, and every year thousands of visitors come to see where the hits of Motown were made. Among the exhibitions here, you'll find historical photographs, artwork, music and costumes from this time-treasured musical hotspot where some of the most notable American songs were produced. The Detroit People Mover and Riverwalk

The People Mover runs a one-way loop around the city and at its 13 stops you can find different Detroit attractions and shopping and dining options. You can access the Detroit Michigan casinos, the Joe Louis Arena, and Comerica Park from the People Mover, and exit to some of the city's most treasured theatres and skyscrapers. At various People Mover stops you'll find the new Riverwalk where you can stroll along the Detroit River and take in views of the city and across the water to the Windsor, Ontario skyline.

Lake Michigan

The only Great Lake within the country's borders, Lake Michigan is a major tourism draw and its numerous opportunities for recreation make it one of the top attractions in Michigan. Swim at renowned Michigan beaches with their towering dunes, hire one of the Lake Michigan charters for some of the best Michigan fishing, or watch beautiful sunsets over the lake's horizon.

Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore

Arguably the most beautiful nature-scape in all the lower peninsula of Michigan, this is one of the Attractions in Michigan where you'll want to make sure you have fresh batteries for the camera. The Soo Locks at Sault Ste Marie

The Soo Locks, found in the historic city of Sault Ste Marie, are the busiest locks in the world, and visitors from all over come to see them. One of the top attractions in Michigan, and virtually the most popular in the upper peninsula, here you can witness ships pass from Lake Superior to Lake Huron. Some of these ships are gigantic, measuring up to 1,000 feet in length. Watch the ships rise or drop the 21 feet between the levels of the St. Mary's River. With so many other Michigan attractions to be found nearby in Sault Ste Marie and the outlying region, you can make a great vacation out of your trip to the Soo Locks.
