Beginning at the end of June the Street Faire at the
Lakes kicks off with six city blocks brimming with food,

festival for kids. The Water Carnival is another big-time

run rampant in mountain
biking, waterskiing, volleyball and more, many taking

When looking for a Detroit Lakes beach, you won’t be disappointed with what you find. City Beach is the most popular Detroit Lake beach and is the place to see and be seen. The mile-long stretch of powdery shoreline has double boat launches, an observation deck and a fishing pier. Another Detroit Lake a beach can be found by the Pavilion. It features many activities including swimming, boogie boarding, volleyball nets and more. The other public beach is near the American Legion Club. Each Detroit Lake beach has lifeguards on duty each day of the week.

Spacious sites, clean restrooms, showers, electric service and a laundromat are all available here. The campgrounds offer shuffleboard, horseshoes and a playground and are close to excellent Minnesota golf courses.

Bay Resort, Shell Lake Resort & Campground and Sunset
Shores Resort & Campground. Country Campground offers
Detroit Lakes campsites and welcomes RV’s and tent
trailers too. Each campsite is 40' x 60' with full hook
ups while the many treed areas provide welcome privacy.
Nearby attractions include City Beach and an amusement
park. Outdoors there is a softball field, two horseshoe
pits, two paddle boats, a basketball court and a picnic
area.
