For those wanting to skate Minneapolis offers more than thirty skating rinks scattered around the city! Most rinks open around the Winter Solstice. If visiting in the winter and hoping to skate Minnesota rinks, you'll be glad to know warming rooms are provided at many of the rinks. These can be great when temperatures drop offering a haven for those extremely chilly days.

For those who want to skate Minneapolis rinks on very cold days, warming houses are generally open at 9:00am Saturday, 12:00pm on Sunday and 3:00pm during school days. They all close at 9:00pm from Monday to Saturday and 5:00pm Sunday. The Parade Ice Garden in Minneapolis Minnesota is a popular spot to skate Minneapolis rinks. Kids can enjoy hockey or figure skating lessons and rink rentals are available. For those who like to skate Minneapolis offers public skating at all but two of the ice-skating rinks in the city.
