Springfield Missouri

The city of Springfield Missouri is located in the southwest corner of the state. Springfield Missouri is the site of some Civil War battles, as well as a place for modern day Springfield travel. Springfield is one of the cities located along Route 66, making Springfield Missouri yet another popular place to visit in the state of Missouri alongside St. Louis, Kansas City, Branson and St. Charles.

The Jordan Valley Park is also found nearby and is a favorite among travelers who want to see downtown Springfield, as well as one of the city’s most famous parks.

Although the city is a few hours drive from St. Louis, many travelers do plan to drive along Route 66 to visit first Springfield Missouri and then St. Louis. Attractions in St. Louis include the Gateway Arch, Missouri Botanical Garden, the St. Louis Zoo, Busch Stadium and the Anheuser-Busch Brewery.
