Flights to Nevada

If you have been researching a Nevada trip, keep in mind that you can find a flight to Nevada that will be served by either of three Nevada airports: Laughlin/Bullhead City International Airport, Reno/Tahoe International Airport or Las Vegas/McCarran International Airport. When planning your Nevada trip, your choice between the Nevada airports should revolve around the destinations you wish to visit and the price of the airfare. The Reno/Lake Tahoe airport is 58 miles from Lake Tahoe, 33 miles from Carson City, 51 miles from Genoa, 23 miles from Virginia City, 33 miles from Pyramid Lake and 162 miles from the Black Rock/Gerlach area.

It takes careful planning to find the best Reno airfare. Usually, you will get the best price if you purchase your ticket at least 21 days in advance. If you are visiting Reno Nevada during any popular vacation or holiday season, the earlier you book, the easier it is to find a reasonably priced Reno airfare. In general, you can find affordable Reno airfare if you travel on the day of the holiday, rather than the day before.

If you want to email your friends while waiting for your return flight, the entire terminal building is now a "HotSpot" for the SBC FreedomLink WiFi service. There are also eight food and beverage locations available at the Reno/Lake Tahoe Airport. These include Brew Brothers, Ethel M. Chocolates, M&M Stand, McDonalds, Munchitos, Ritazza Coffee, Tahoe Bar and Grill and the Tahoe Café. Nevada airport is transportation is available from the Bell Limousine Airport Mini Bus, the Budget Chauffeur Drive, Sierra West Limousine and the Tahoe Casino Express.

If you are traveling to Carson City, Reno or North Douglas County, consider using the Pride Intercity Bus Service from the Reno Nevada Airport. From Monday through Friday, the adult fare is $3.25 per trip. When you reach your destination, you can transfer to any of the Citifare buses for free!

The Reno/Lake Tahoe Nevada Airport is a few miles southeast of downtown Reno. If you are taking your car, drive along Highway 395.

If you are flying into one of the other Nevada Airports such as Las Vegas McCarran International Airport, don’t be surprised if you see slot machines in the airport building. It’s all part of the Vegas experience! You can navigate the airport with the help of four monorails.

If Laughlin is your destination, Sun Country Airlines has low cost flights from San Francisco, Denver, New York and Los Angeles. Western Express Air has economical flights form Deer Valley Arizona, Mesa Arizona and Riverside California.
