Venetian Las Vegas

Show Description:

Once a small off-Broadway production, the Blue Man Group has rapidly become one of the most popular Las Vegas shows. Its combination of tribal rhythms, mime-influenced comedy (more effective than it sounds) and multimedia theatrics have garnered the group worldwide acclaim. The Blue Man Group Las Vegas show is a mesmerizing display of inventive percussion and avant-garde absurdity. Their random, non-linear humor has paved the way for the success of many other of the less traditional Las Vegas shows, such as Monty Pythons Spamalot.

The real focus of the Las Vegas Blue Man Group is the production of art and music. The group’s inspired antics result in all kinds of weird displays – no object is too small or mundane to use. Breakfast cereal, office supplies, hand soap – all have made their way into the group’s show, whether as percussion instruments or paint, or just as projectiles.

The music takes on a life of its own, and the Blue Man Group in Las Vegas are habitually backed by a live band, allowing their rhythmic wanderings to take on a life of their own.

The Las Vegas Blue Man Group is renowned for their consistently energetic performance, not to mention the show high rewatchability – every show is unique enough that you can justify seeing a show with each successive Vegas trip. The Blue Man Group in Las Vegas is also one of the most entertaining shows that can be fun for the whole family. It’s not uncommon to see small children jumping and shrieking in the aisles while during a Blue Man Group Las Vegas show.

The show run everyday of the week – Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday ay 8 pm and Tuesday, Friday and Saturday at both 7 and 10 pm.

Biography:

Founded in 1987 by Matt Goldman, Phil Stanton and Chris Wink, the show first saw life as an underground phenomenon in New York in the late 80s. These humble beginnings built the framework for a steady rise in fame – the group now has sold out shows in four cities throughout America. But the Blue Man Group in Las Vegas is the flagship show – maybe it’s just the lavish location in the Venetian, but the Vegas shows are by far the group’s most popular, even when show tickets run at a minimum of $80.

The popular and critical acclaim for the Blue Man Group Las Vegas show even led to the creation of a new award from the Drama Desk Committee (arguably the most sought after theater-based award) for Theatrical Production, which the Blue Man Group has been nominated each year since the award’s inception.
