Body English Vegas

Note: Body English closed on January 1, 2010, and is being replaced by the new Vanity nightclub at the Hard Rock Hotel.

Body English is the name of one of the hippest clubs on the Las Vegas Strip. Located in the Hard Rock Club Hotel, the Body English Nightclub in Las Vegas draws all of the beautiful people in Las Vegas, and provides a classy place to dance to boot. Whether you just want to have a drink and hide in the corner, or have a drink while shaking your stuff on the dance floor, Body English lives to please. Be prepared for long lines and a large cover fee; this club is popular with the younger set and just about everyone is trying to get in.

Club Body English is open Friday through Sunday from 10:30 pm until 4am. For men, the cover price is $30. For women from out of town, the cover price is $20, and local women always get in free. On Sundays, all locals can get in without paying a cover charge. Body English accepts both cash and credit cards, though in general it is best to have cash on hand for your cover charge, and guests will find an ATM machine located just outside the club doors. There is also a dress code enforced for entrance into Body English. No sneaker or jeans are acceptable, and for guys tank-tops are out. The basic rule for dress at the Body English Nightclub in Las Vegas is nice dress. Avoid shorts and sandals, as well.

If you plan to drive to this Hard Rock Club, there is a parking garage right on site which offers valet parking. Only hotel guests can park in the garage for free. If you want to eat some food or just reserve a table at Body English, it will come with a fee. You must purchase one bottle of wine or champagne per every four people at a minimum to reserve a table. Bottles are about $300 each, and this rule is strictly enforced.

In addition to the regular dancing and fun happening at the Body English Nightclub in Las Vegas, there are also some special events. Every Sunday night is, "Sunday School" in the VIP parlor, where drink specials and house music from a local DJ, usually DJ Jack LeFleur, heat up your Sunday evening. On Fridays, two separate dance parties happen in two separate rooms; the first led by DJ Dig Dug and the second by DJ Vice. Women, both local and from out of town, who get into the club prior to midnight will drink free champagne all night long on Fridays, as well.

The layout of this Hard Rock Club is actually comprised of two floors. The top floor is where most of the plush booths are located, and where to go if you want to reserve a table. The booths also have excellent views of the dance floor below on the second floor, and make for an excellent place from which to people-watch. The upper floor is also where guests will find an extravagant VIP area, which must be reserved in advance. A large bar upstairs is also open to guests for drinks throughout the night.

Downstairs, there are additional booths and the dance floors, as well as yet another bar. The ultimate VIP room is also located downstairs, and must be reserved in advance over the phone or in person. The room is designed to be soundproof, and is also designed so that those inside can see out, but anyone outside cannot see in. This ultra VIP room also has its own private bar and private music selection within the booth.
