Located in the heart of exciting and historic downtown
Las Vegas and only two blocks from the famous Fremont
Street Experience, the El Cortez Hotel and Casino
is a great value. This unassuming hotel benefited a great
deal from the city's 2007 multimillion dollar "streetscape"
refurbishment as did its closest hotel and casino neighbors.
Sidewalks and promenades were widened, more pedestrian-friendly
streets were created and lighting and landscaping were
improved. The downtown area is becoming more and more
popular, and El Cortez Las Vegas has also spiffed itself
up. It offers very good value for your Vegas vacation
dollar. The nicely-appointed El Cortez Hotel Las Vegas
rooms are quite comfortable and spacious-tower rooms
are guest favorites. If you're deciding that when
to go to El Cortez Las Vegas for you is 2009 or later,
check out their new Cabana Suites. Amenities in these
suites include an in-room safe, iron and ironing board,
hairdryer, coffee maker, iPod alarm clock and flat-screen,
high-definition televisions. All rooms and suites have
color cable television with pay per view movies, wireless
Internet connection for a fee, telephones with voice mail
and shower/tub combination.
El Cortez Hotel Las Vegas offers a number of rooms and suites. Jacuzzi Suites, located in the tower, are equipped with a two person jetted hot tub. You can request smoking or non-smoking rooms in the tower or pavilion with either queen or king beds, and some of these rooms have two beds. If you want to be guaranteed smoking accommodations, ask for Vintage rooms. These are rooms that are only accessed by stairway and have queen beds. The El Cortez Hotel Las Vegas will have a room or suite that will meet most every taste.
In the public areas, El Cortez Hotel and Casino offers
two dining venues. Unassuming like the property itself,
these may not be the Las
Vegas restaurants that are so famous, but they offer
exactly what's needed by guests of a property that
is in the heart of one of the great Las Vegas attractions.
The prime rib at the steak house is excellent and well
priced. The cafE maintains limited hours, from
the dinner hour until 7:00 a.m. during the week, but is
open 24 hours a day during weekends. El Cortez Las Vegas
also has a beauty salon and barber shop, a gift shop and
free valet parking-especially important if your
transportation to the city is by car.
If you're not out enjoying the nightlife and entertainment, you'll probably be trying your luck in a casino, and El Cortez Hotel and Casino is known for its great variety of available games. You can play more than 1,000 slots with a bet range of a penny to a nickel and up to five dollars. There's also video poker and keno, video reels and multi-game slots. Table games include blackjack, craps, roulette, poker, pai gow and mini baccarat. There's an extensive race and sports book and one of the largest keno games in town.
A terrific location in the heart of Downtown
Las Vegas and the Fremont Experience, combined with
reasonable hotel rates make El Cortez Hotel and Casino
a great value. Put this one on your list of possible Las
Vegas hotels to stay at.
