Show Description
The newest Elton John Las Vegas concert series combines the grandeur of Caesars Palace with the unforgettable stage presence of one of the world's biggest music stars. Sir Elton begins performing The Million Dollar Piano on September 28, 2011, and by all accounts, these will be among his most memorable concerts. The name of the show comes from the beautiful instrument that Yamaha made for Elton John just for these performances—the company spent more than four years creating the piano with the singer's style and talent in mind.
With the great success of his previous Las Vegas concerts, Elton John tickets are sure to be a hot commodity. Sir Elton himself has said Caesars Palace is a perfect place to play, and he described The Million Dollar Piano as a gargantuan feast of music and imagery. With his signature flair and style, it's hard to imagine that these concerts will be anything but stunning. Accompanied by his band, Elton John will perform both his classic hits and newer songs, and he frequently has the audience on their feet throughout the show, singing and dancing along with the music. Tickets for these performances range from $55 and up, with options for VIP packages and other extras; it's also possible to find Elton John show packages, if you want to combine a trip to see this great performer with other shows or fun things to do in Vegas.
The Million Dollar Piano brings back the style of Elton John Las Vegas engagements that were so popular during his last series of shows. The previous string of Caesars Palace concerts ended in 2009, when the singer wrapped up a five-year residency. That show, titled The Red Piano, was intended to include only 75 shows and run for three years, but it was so successful and Elton John tickets were in such high demand that it ultimately ran for 241 performances over the course of half a decade. The current Elton John show schedule is still being finalized, but The Million Dollar Piano has its first sixteen shows scheduled for September and October of 2011, with this cluster of performances intended to kick off the concert series in style.
The Colosseum at Caesars Palace is one of the best venues in Las Vegas for a great headliner like Sir Elton John. The theater, which seats more than 4,000 people, has also played host to a concert series by Cher and two by Celine Dion. Celine and Elton will be sharing the stage, as her Celine concert series began in March 2011 and will continue for about three years. If you're planning a Las Vegas vacation and want to see two of the greatest performers in the music industry, why not book tickets for both?
