Gordie Brown Golden Nugget
Gordie Brown Golden Nugget is a show that blends music and comedy to get audiences laughing and singing along. Gordie Brown is one of the Las Vegas impersonators whose show has become a highlight of the long list of Las Vegas shows on offer. He can do a huge number of impressions, some astoundingly accurate, and some that will have audiences falling off their chairs at the sharpness of his parody. The show features impersonations of the likes of Bob Dylan, Ozzy Osbourne, Elton John, and Tom Cruise. Whereas impersonators such as Greg London at the Riviera focus on musical impressions, the Gordie Brown at Golden Nugget show is an all-round entertainment bonanza, with equal measures of music, comedy, and dancing. It’s known for its wide appeal, attracting everyone from 18 to over-80 with its light-hearted humor and range of impersonations spanning the generations.
The Gordie Brown Las Vegas show is far from a one-man act. The Vegas impersonator comes with a full band, as well as vocalist, to support him and create a rich sound and vibrant stage setup. While Brown pokes fun at stars like Vanilla Ice and Sylvester Stallone, he is reasonably respectful for a Vegas impersonator, and his show steers clear of controversy.
The Golden Nugget creates a great spot for the Gordie Brown Las Vegas show and is located in old Vegas on Fremont Street. The show is on every Tuesday through Saturday at 7:30 p.m. It’s best to book your tickets well in advance, as the Gordie Brown Golden Nugget show tends to be fully booked early. Those not staying at the hotel should bear in mind that many of the hotel guests will want to come see the show, so tickets are likely to sell out fast. The Golden Nugget is close to the Fremont Street Experience and other Fremont Street hotels such as Golden Gate and El Cortez Hotel
Gordie Brown was born in Canada. His career in entertainment got going when his coworkers encouraged him to enter a local talent contest. He had been working at an Ottawa-based paper, and always made his colleagues laugh with his spot-on impressions. Brown won the contest, and headed to Vegas soon after to try his luck as a showman. He soon shot into the spotlight, performing as the opening act for such stars as Barry Manilow and Paul Anka. Today, Gordie has his own shows, and is able to show off his many talents as a singer, dancer, comedian, and astounding impersonator. He was awarded Best New Entertainer in 2007 by Nevada Magazine, and since then his shows have achieved worldwide popularity. As if this weren’t fame enough, he has also appeared on several TV series, including What She Did for Love and Second Service. He has also released an album of original songs entitled As I Am.
