Show Description
Greg London’s latest Las Vegas impression show is proving a huge hit. The critically acclaimed impersonator and musical mastermind has brought his show, Greg London IMPRESSIONS THAT ROCK!, to the Riviera Hotel and Casino, where it is enjoying huge popularity. The Greg London at the Riviera show opened in July of 2009 and since then London has been wowing his audiences with the musical impressions, amazingly accurate impersonations, and parodies of iconic artists that have made his name as one of the top Las Vegas impersonators. Audiences can expect London to move effortlessly from a spot-on impersonation of Elton John, to a great performance as Elvis, before transforming into more modern singers such as Macy Gray. With his band to back him, London is likely to perform many of your favorite rock, blues, and pop hits as he has an amazing breadth to what he can do.
Greg London at the Riviera is not just about musical mimicry, however. Not only does London do non-musical impersonations, but this Las Vegas impression show also features a cast of actors specializing in impressions of icons like Arnold Schwarzenegger, Austin Powers, and even Barack Obama. The show also has its own chorus of authentic Las Vegas showgirls, to add some glitz and glamor to the act. There is also a strong element of comedy to the show, keeping the energy high and the audience engaged throughout. Setting its sights higher than a standard Las Vegas impression show, Greg London IMPRESSIONS THAT ROCK! aims to be an all-round entertainment experience.
Greg London at the Riviera was created by London, and written with theater director David Taylor and playwright Paul Miller. The show’s venue, the Riviera Hotel and Casino on Las Vegas Boulevard South, is a large and prestigious hotel with world-class gambling facilities. The combination of London’s award-winning talents and the popularity of the venue have ensured that Greg London IMPRESSIONS THAT ROCK! is a regular sell-out. Of course, it is especially popular with guests at the hotel and visitors to the casino. The show is performed nightly in the Mardi Gras Showroom. Despite the regular performances, it is wise to book tickets well in advance, as the show is in high demand. You can easily check a list of Las Vegas shows to know exactly when London is playing, so as to get a seat early. The show shares the theater with other shows at this hotel, including the Amazing Kreskin and Dao.
Artist Biography
Greg London is known for his spot-on musical impressions, and is renowned as one of the best entertainers of his category performing in the US today. His musical career began as a child, when he learned to play the trumpet to join his granddad in a Salvation Army band. Today, London can play an array of different instruments, including the piano, harmonica, percussion instruments, and guitar. It is his voice, however, which is the star of any Greg London show. His impressions have won him plenty of awards over the years, most recently the Nevada Magazine’s 2009 Entertainer of the Year, which was decided by a readers’ poll. The same magazine awarded his Las Vegas impression show ICONMAN with the prize for Best Show of Northern Nevada.
