The Hard Rock Vegas Hotel and Casino is one of the hottest
places to stay in Las Vegas for fun by the pool and plenty
of gaming. Located right on the Strip,
the Hard Rock Vegas is well known in large part for the
great bars found right inside the hotel. The Hard Rock
Las Vegas Joint, a major venue for music shows of all
kinds, is another big attraction to this great hotel,
as is the famous Las Vegas Hard Rock Café, where
music and rock memorabilia from years past cover the walls.
The Hard Rock Las Vegas Joint is an 8,000 square foot venue that can be used for seated shows or standing-room-only shows. Most of the acoustic or quieter shows will be seated, while more robust rock or rap shows are generally standing room. The Hard Rock Las Vegas Joint also has its own private balcony VIP area, though in general this area is by invitation only. Guests with back-stage passes or other special tickets for meet and greets with the band will usually be sat up in the VIP Balcony. The Joint also has two self contained bars located within it which are open whenever there is a show at the Joint. Catering services are also available for special events. In the bars, multiple 25” monitors give live feeds of the show happening on stage, so guests need never miss a moment of the show, even if they step out to enjoy a quick drink or snack. With a stage taking up more than 800 square feet of space, a ticket to a show at The Joint means a night of true entertainment.
The Las Vegas Hard Rock Café is another attraction at the Hard Rock Las Vegas. A collection of guitars and on-stage clothing and costumes from various rockers lines the walls, and visitors can check all of it out while waiting for their food or while getting a drink in the Las Vegas Hard Rock Café bar. Of special note is the tribute to Kurt Cobain, added since his death, as well as the tribute to John Entwistle, bass player for the Who, who actually died at the hotel.
Along with the major bars at the Hard Rock Vegas, there are also a couple of smaller bars that still pack a big punch. Center Bar, open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, is located smack dab in the middle of the hotel and is, as its name suggests, the center of the bar and casino action. Viva Las Vegas is yet another Hard Rock Vegas bar on the premises, and is found just off the casino floor. Viva Las Vegas is decorated in dark colors and the feel is plusher, and more opulent. This is the place to go for a pre-funking cocktail or a conversation with a friend in the back corner. Viva also serves food from a mid-sized menu.
The Pink Taco Bar is yet another of the Hard Rock Hotel’s claims to fame. One particular favorite is the Pink Taco Happy Hour, which happens Monday through Friday from 4-7pm, in the bar only. There are specials on all of the great authentic Mexican food the Pink Taco is known for. If all you want to do in Vegas is kick back and watch a game, head to the Sports Deluxe Bar. Here, you can check out up to 40 simultaneous sporting events on the many TV screens, have a beer, and even gamble on the race and sports book. If a night of drinking combined with dancing is calling to you, head over to Body English, one of the hippest dance clubs on the Strip, located right in the Hard Rock Hotel.
