Show Description:
It’s hard to find a bad Cirque De Soleil show. Mystere, O, Zumanity – all have gathered rave reviews for years. But it might just be KA that is the company’s finest moment. KA in Las Vegas is an experience like no other – combining the beauty and whirlwind acrobatics of the other programs, but with a more tangible storyline, proving that Las Vegas shows are not all flash and style – there can be actual substance behind the productions. And nowhere is this better illustrated than in a Las Vegas KA performance.
The genesis of the KA story is the ancient Egyptian concept of a spiritual duplicate in this world, the fire that can unite or separate, destroy or illuminate. KA in Las Vegas follows the journey of two twins, one male, one female, who were separated at birth, and must now reconnect in order to fulfill their respective destinies. Throughout their voyages, KA Las Vegas presents all sorts of unforgettable characters as the reoccurring theme of duality comes into play at nearly every turn.
Every twist in the story illuminates the power and beauty of KA Las Vegas. As the twins make their way through the world, the differing landscapes and inventive costumes come from everywhere, perfectly displayed upon the floor of the KA theatre – which uses progressive lighting techniques to replicate all kinds of different scenes. KA Las Vegas moves effortlessly between sandy beaches and dense forests as the twins make their way towards their fateful reunion.
Combining the types of artistry expected of Cirque De
Soleil shows with martial arts and a collection of rotating
platforms and other set wizardry, KA is Las Vegas is one
of the finest examples of what the city has to offer.
But, beware – the tickets are some of the more expensive
you can find of any show
on the strip, oftentimes climbing over $100.
Las Vegas KA runs twice daily, every Tuesday to Saturday at 7:30 and 9:30 pm.

Show Biography:
It took $165 million to bring KA to the MGM Grand Las Vegas. This might be why extra attention was paid to the show’s story – this was, at the time, the biggest venture Cirque De Soleil ever embarked on – and no one could afford for it to flop. Thus you have a plot that is relatively straight-forward, in comparison to O or Mystere, and KA has reaped the benefits –it is often named the best of the troupe’s fine shows. Using the same composer and director as Mystere, KA Las Vegas really made a name for itself designers shunned a traditional stage, opting instead for a series of rotating platforms on which to perform the show.
