Las Vegas Airport

Most people traveling to Las Vegas will begin their trip at the Las Vegas Airport, also referred to as McCarran Airport. Since the Las Vegas Airport is, like Vegas itself, located in the middle of the Mojave Desert, you'll need to find some kind of Las Vegas shuttle or other Las Vegas Airport transportation. As one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world, there are plenty of options when choosing your transport from the Las Vegas Airport.

Guests of many Las Vegas hotels will find that their hotel offers Las Vegas shuttle service from the Las Vegas International Airport to their hotel. Las Vegas shuttle service from a hotel will generally run throughout the day, though it is a good idea to check with your particular hotel as to the shuttle schedule. If you will be arriving at the Las Vegas International Airport at night, your hotel may not offer service and you will have to find an alternate form of transportation. In contrast, some hotels will arrange for guest pickup at the airport based on your flight arrival time, so make sure to contact your hotel.

If your hotel does not offer shuttle service to and from the Las Vegas International Airport, there are plenty of alternatives. Taxicabs swarm around the airport and a ride from airport to the strip will usually be offered at a flat rate. Cabs are convenient and will be available any time of the day or night.
Another popular form of Las Vegas Airport transportation is a limousine. Limousine rides are often only a bit more expensive than a cab ride, and can actually be a better deal than a cab for large groups. Las Vegas Airport limousine servers can be found near the taxi pickup section of the Las Vegas Airport. Although Las Vegas Airport limousine servers need not be booked in advance, travelers can plan ahead to have a limousine meet them at the airport. Las Vegas Airport limousine servers can be a fun way to travel in style from the airport to the hotel and a great way to start your vacation.

Many travelers flying into the Las Vegas Airport choose to rent a car for the duration of their vacation. Renting a car can be a convenient form of Las Vegas Airport transportation, and many hotels offer parking for guests free of charge. Since the Strip is quite expansive, many tourists choose to rent a car for more comfortable travel. Additionally, guests who plan to travel to both the Strip and downtown Las Vegas during their stay may consider renting a car, as cab fees to the various areas can add up quickly.
So, whether your hotel picks you up, or you find your own ride from the airport, there are plenty of Las Vegas airport transportation options in every price range. Day or night, you will always be able to find a quick and convenient route to your destination.
