Las Vegas Bars

Las Vegas Bars
Noir Bar | Aurora Bar | High Bar

The Las Vegas Bars might just take the prize for most unique and interesting on the planet.  There truly are bars in Las Vegas for every taste or mood, whether you want to root your team on at one of the Vegas sports bars, or have a quiet and romantic conversation with that someone special.  Some bars in Las Vegas offer swanky atmospheres perfect for sipping martini’s or enjoying a glass of single malt scotch, while others featuring anything from a climbing wall, to an assortment of over 500 beers.  On the Vegas Strip, some of the newest and hottest bars are popping up at the big casinos, but this main street in town isn’t the only place where the best and most interesting Las Vegas bars are found.  Whether you are on the Strip, hanging out downtown, or are even out near the UNLV campus, interesting Las Vegas bars are never too far away.

In Las Vegas, it’s important to keep on the edge, pushing the boundaries of what it is trendy, or creating new boundaries with something new.  Helping to keep things both fresh and trendy on the Vegas Strip is the Luxor Casino Hotel.  In addition to a few new nightclubs, the Luxor has recently introduced some new bars you likely haven’t been to.  The Luxor Noir Bar, for example, is found through a passage at the new LAX nightclub, and its quiet and romantic scene is ideal for a nice night out.  Other new bars at the Luxor include the come-one, come-all Aurora Bar, and the upscale and intimate High Bar, both of which are open 24 hours a day.  Some bars on the Vegas Strip have already broken through and are making the top-bar lists of many a critic.  The V Bar at the Venetian is one of the most talked about bars in town, offering a pretty swanky feel.  At the Kahunaville Bar at Treasure Island, it’s one big Caribbean party, with water shows, bartender performances and plenty of frozen cocktails.  The Red Square Bar at Mandalay Bay is worth a visit, if not for its headless statue of Lenin, then for its extensive drink menu.  If you are headed out to see one of the famous Las Vegas shows, or just want to wind down the night, Caramel is a bar you might consider.  Found at the Bellagio, Caramel offers a mix of drinks, from cocktails to champagne, and their light food menu might be an ideal prelude to  whatever you have planned for the evening.

If you are looking for some cool Vegas Sports bars where you can catch the big game in style, there’s always the popular ESPN Zone bar, which is found at New York-New York, or the new 40 40 Club.  The creation of rapper Jay-Z and his business partner Juan Perez, the Caesars Palace 40 40 club features 85 plasma televisions, 5 separate bars, and gold and platinum floors.  Like many bars in Las Vegas, the 40 40 Club offers VIP rooms where you can get the best in service and live large for a night.  The 40 40 Club is part bar, part club, much like the new Pussycat Dolls Lounge is part bar, part lounge.  Modeled after its successful Los Angeles sister club, this sultry bar is where you can see the Vegas troupe of Pussycat Dolls perform their series of burlesque shows.  As mentioned before, not all of the notable Las Vegas bars are found on the Strip.  Just west of the popular drag is a much talked about bar.  Located 55 stories atop the Palms Casino Hotel is the trendy Ghostbar, which offers an intriguingly funky decor and 180-degree views from its plexiglass windows.  Like many of the most popular Vegas bars, the Ghostbar often has quite a line to wait in.  Getting there early or buying a nightclub pass might be something that interests you if you want to get into the Las Vegas bars of your choice.

If you are looking to escape the glam and glitz of the Las Vegas bars on the Strip, then downtown is where you might want to head.  The downtown bars in Las Vegas tend to be more cozy and less pretentious than the majority of Vegas Strip bars, lending well to visitors looking to do some good bar hopping.  The sophisticated Sidebar is a recent addition to the downtown bars, and it features an intimate atmosphere, a nice array of drink options and a full selection of cigars.  Another interesting choice for downtown bars in Las Vegas is the Art Bar.  Exactly like its name implies, art is the central theme here, with rotating exhibits that feature free space for artists.  Here, you’ll find red leather booths, a central bar, and a small stage off in the corner.  One of the more interesting Vegas bars out near UNLV is the Freakin’ Frog.  This place not only claims to have the largest beer selection among the Las Vegas bars, but among all those found on the West Coast.  If you are looking for a special beer, they probably have it among their 750-plus bottles.  The Freakin’ Frog is just one of the numerous bars in Las Vegas worth visiting.  With so many to choose from, it’s hard to say which are truly better than others.  It all comes down to what kind of atmosphere you are looking for, and what kind of experience you eventually end up having.  After all, it is Sin City, so you never know what might happen or who you might see when you head out to the Las Vegas Bars.
