As the city carved its identity out of the desert, Binions Las Vegas was owned and operated by a legend, and catered to some of the country’s biggest names in gambling. California Hotel and Casino
In the heart of vibrant downtown Las Vegas, the California Hotel and Casino is located near the Fremont Street Experience with its dazzling lights. It’s close to great shopping and has complimentary shuttle service to the Las Vegas Strip. Read more on the California Las Vegas.

D Las Vegas
Sure, all downtown Vegas casinos have the habit of going for relative understatement, but the D Hotel does it a little better than its neighbors. Largely populated by a clientele of the middle-aged and good-natured – this is neither the Vegas of the strip, nor the old-school charm that pervades some of the more popular off-strip hotels. Downtown Grand
The Downtown Grand Casino and Hotel is one of the newest casino hotels in Las Vegas. Found on Third Street between Stewart and Ogden avenues across from the Mob Museum, it occupies the site of the former Lady Luck casino, which opened in 1964 and closed in 2006. Read more on the Downtown Grand.

El Cortez Las Vegas
Properties in the downtown Las Vegas area should be on every Las Vegas hotels list and the El Cortez offers nicely appointed rooms and suites. Conveniently located to all the downtown action and nightlife, it’s very reasonably priced. Read more on the El Cortez Las Vegas.

Four Queens Las Vegas
The rooms are fairly nice – nothing special, nothing extravagant, but everything is always right where you expect it and the customer service is a slight cut above the hotel’s competitors. Fremont Hotel and Casino
Famed heart of the Fremont Street Experience, this hotel and casino dresses itself up nicely as the class of the downtown hotels. And, if you equate the color purple with luxury, the Fremont Hotel and Casino is the most luxurious spot in the whole of Las Vegas. Read more on the Fremont Hotel.

Golden Gate Las Vegas
Established in 1906, the Golden Gate Las Vegas is the most historic hotel in the city. The Las Vegas Review-Journal voted it the 2008 Best Downtown Las Vegas hotel. Golden Nugget Las Vegas
Located in the historic downtown Las Vegas district, the Golden Nugget is one of the ten hotel casinos that are part of the famous Fremont Street Experience. Off-Strip Las Vegas Hotels

Aliante Station Hotel
The Aliante Station Hotel and Casino is a resort located in the Aliante community with easy access to Las Vegas attractions and all the conveniences of a residential neighborhood. Small by Vegas standards with only 202 luxurious rooms, there are still restaurants, a showroom, a lounge, movie theater, and gaming. Read more on Aliante Station.

Boulder Station
Boulder Station is only a few blocks from the north end of the strip, and offers some of the cheapest rooms available in the city. This is where the locals come to eat and to gamble. Just because it is mainly a casino for locals doesn’t mean that the Boulder Station Casino should be overlooked as a decent value for exploring the sights of Las Vegas. Cancun Resort & Spa
The Cancun Resort has a perfect location that’s just far enough away from the Strip to be peaceful but close enough that it’s easy to go to the best shows and Vegas nightclubs. Embassy Suites Las Vegas
With Embassy Suites Las Vegas, you can count on the consistent quality of this international all-suite brand. Hooters Las Vegas
Hooters Casino and Hotel prides itself on its hospitality, plain old fun and casual atmosphere, and is located only half a block from the famous Las Vegas Strip. JW Marriott Las Vegas
JW Marriott Las Vegas Resort and Spa boasts a fabulous location in the midst of some of the best golf courses in Nevada and only a 15-minute drive from the best of the Las Vegas shows and the Strip.
