Beckoning to everyone for at least a mile around, the Luxor Hotel and Casino shines a beacon of light into the sky out of the top of a spectacular pyramid shape. Follow the light. Whether you are staying at the Luxor Hotel and Casino or not, the Luxor shows are some of the best on the Strip. Running the gamut of magic and comedy, fantasy and family appropriate, the Luxor shows have something for everyone. The Luxor Theater is the main venue at this hotel and is complemented by smaller showrooms.
The newest show on the block is Believe created by and
starring Criss Angel of Mindfreak. Believe plays at the Luxor Theater
every night except Wednesday and Thursday. Like Love at
the Mirage or Zumanity at New York New York,
Believe is Cirque du Soleil fused with something completely new, in this case the
magic and illusions of hands down one of the coolest illusion
artists in modern history. Combining magic, theatrical
elements, and the artistry of the Cirque, this show is
sure to delight and amaze the audience.
Out of a different Luxor theater called the Atrium Showroom is a zanier act-the prop comedian Carrot Top. While this might seem like a kid-friendly act, this show is for 18 and over only. Expect to laugh and maybe be shocked a little bit!
If Believe and Carrot Top seem just too tame for you, there's always Fantasy-Luxor's fully adult show. This show is also for the over 18 crowd (obviously!) and, in a different twist than many topless reviews, is designed to entice couples with a mix of singing, comedy, dance, and a sexy cast.
With either Carrot Top or Fantasy, you have the option to do dinner and a show on a combined ticket and dine at a predetermined restaurant in the Luxor. Otherwise, the Luxor Hotel and Casino is situated in a great part of the Strip to seek out delectable choices for dinner outside of the Luxor as well-MGM Grand, Excalibur, New York New York, and Mandalay Bay are all close by.
If perhaps you'd like to see a show and don't have a lot of extra money to toss around or would like the take the whole family out, the Luxor Hotel and Casino also has an IMAX theater featuring fully family-friendly shows. There are several films playing, mostly centered on nature or ancient Egyptian themes. 3-D shows are also available.
Luxor show tickets for Believe, Carrot Top, and Fantasy
frequently sell out so make sure to buy them ahead of
time if you can! All of the Luxor shows are a lot of fun
and worth seeing while you're in town, but don't
forget to peek at the show options all over the Strip.
Any kind of show you can imagine is now regularly playing
somewhere from headliners like Elton
John to Broadway musicals. Like gambling, seeing a
show has become an essential part of the Las Vegas experience.
