The 11th hole at Rio Secco Golf Club starts your journey through the canyon holes.
Rees Jones, world-renowned golf course architect, designed these 6 holes flowing
through the deep canyons, using the natural desert landscape with including lava
rocks as a hazard and beautiful backdrop, not to mention beautiful views of
the Las Vegas Valley from the high elevated tee boxes and greens.
This is one of the most challenging holes on the course. It requires a very
well struck drive with intimidating surroundings, just aim at one of the
6 Hotel/Casino's Harrah's Entertainment owns. It is definitely a risk and reward
hole with the dogleg cutting over the desert terrain. Depending on your success
and tolerance for risk, you may have a fairway wood to a short iron into this
perfectly manicured green. Keep in mind the green slopes hard from back left
to front right.
The vistas from Hole 11 command some of the best views of the
Las Vegas strip. More than any other of the top Las Vegas golf courses, Rio Secco
Golf Club has excellence that is hard to match, and this is exemplified in the 11th hole.
