Hard Rock Las Vegas

Las Vegas, NV 89169

Show Description:

The Joint at the trendy Hard Rock Café & Casino on the Strip is the newest and hottest entertainment and concert spot in Vegas. With a capacity of 4,000, it is the first true rock venue in town, and the legendary guitarist Carlos Santana in Las Vegas will be the city's first rock and roll "artist in residence." Carlos Santana and his renowned band will perform a series of concerts beginning in May 2009, and lasting through 2010. The first in the series of Santana Concert at the Hard Rock Vegas is May 27, and continues through June 14—totaling about 36 concerts per year for the duration of his rock residency. The second series is from August 26 to September 9, 2009.

Carlos Santana at the Joint will be the only place west of the Mississippi River where fans can see and hear the rock legend until after the 2010 concert tour series. The concert series was signed with AEG Live, the world's second largest entertainment promoter that brought the Elton John, Cher, Bette Midler, and Celine Dion concerts to the nearby Colosseum at Caesar's Palace.

Santana Las Vegas capitalizes on the stunning and dynamic new concert venue that has doubled its capacity, offers seven VIP luxury Suites, and a VIP level, as well as a state-of-the-art sound and video system. This first Carlos Santana at the Joint series is dubbed "Supernatural Santana: A Trip Through the Hits," and features classics from as far back in his career as the 1969 "Jingo," his first Top 10 hit. Born the son of a Mariachi violin virtuoso in Mexico, Santana has more than four decades of music history to draw upon for this series of concerts, and he has been revered by everyone from hippies in the 1960s to heavy metal enthusiasts, and even highlighted on the Ed Sullivan Show. When not performing as Carlos Santana at the Joint the great guitarist will be performing at venues across Europe, including Istanbul in Turkey, Bucharest in Hungary, and Hamburg in Germany, among other cities.

You can enjoy Santana Las Vegas concerts no matter where you are staying—on the Strip, Downtown Las Vegas, or even in neighboring communities like Laughlin or North Las Vegas. But, if you stay at the Hard Rock, you'll have access to one of the best swimming pools in Las Vegas (and the well-known Rehab pool party as well), an enormous casino, and a variety of options for hotel rooms and luxury suites. You'll also be located in the heart of the Strip, right in the middle of all the most exciting attractions and things to do in this 24-hour city.
