Insider’s Guide to the SLS Las Vegas
The SLS Las Vegas, formerly the Sahara Hotel and Casino, opened on August 23, 2014 after being rebranded and renovated to the tune of $415 million. Part of the SBE’s chain of SLS hotels, it is a mixed use resort and casino offering more than 1,600 amenity-filled rooms and suites, a collection of acclaimed restaurants, exciting nightlife, 80,000 square feet of flexible meeting space, and more. Renowned designer Philippe Starck has added his expert touch to the SLS Las Vegas, with the help of Gensler and Lenny Kravitz, and style is as much a part of the property’s allure as is luxury.

SLS Las Vegas Casino
The SLS Hotel & Casino boasts a relatively intimate casino. This is a newer trend among the Vegas casino hotels – smaller casinos that reflect the fact that the majority of the Vegas Strip revenue comes from non-gaming outlets. More intimate casinos like the one at the SLS Casino also embrace the notion that smaller casinos encourage better social experiences for gamblers. As for what you’ll find inside the SLS Casino, there are 800 slot machines and 80 table games, so by no means will visitors want for gaming action.
Rooms at SLS Las Vegas
The rooms and suites at the SLS Las Vegas are housed in three separate towers and are decked out in several different styles. The smallest units measure 325 square feet, which provides ample room for single travelers, small groups of friends and couples. From there, the units increase in size on up to the 3,300-square-foot Story Penthouse, where you can entertain and then some. What the SLS rooms and suites all have in common are high comfort levels and numerous amenities. Premium bedding and large flat screen TVs mix with exclusive bath products and luxury showers in these choice accommodations, and if you book one of the units in the Lux Tower, you can enjoy butler service upon request.
SLS Las Vegas - Monkey Bar
Whatever you have a taste for, you can likely satisfy it at the SLS Las Vegas restaurants. Three signature restaurants compete for the attention of culinary enthusiasts with their tempting and inventive menus, but don’t overlook the casual eateries and their seductive and comprehensive offerings. If you can’t quite pinpoint what you have a taste for, head to the SLS Buffet and revel in its delightful array of choices.
SLS Hotel Nightclub
Tempting Lady Luck at the casino or pulling up a seat at its 24-hour bar figure among the nightlife options at the sleek and stylish SLS Las Vegas. Complementing the casino and its lively bar are three dynamic nightclubs. Two of these nightclubs are connected to open-air pool areas and the other plays host to live performances. If something a little more relaxed is the aim, try the lobby bar, which is a great place to chill and people watch.
SLS Hotel Pool
The pool scene in Las Vegas has become a major component of the city’s allure, especially in recent years. At the SLS Hotel & Casino, two resort-style pool areas await guests. Each of these areas is linked to a nightclub and can be an excellent place to relax and socialize both during the day and at night. Cabana and daybeds are available if you want to get comfortable during your visit to the SLS Las Vegas pools, and you should have little trouble satisfying your thirst or appetite via the available food and beverage service.
The spa scene, much like the pool scene, has recently become a top attraction in Las Vegas. Perhaps nowhere else in the country will you find a larger concentration of world-class spas. Guests of the SLS Las Vegas have one of these world-class spas at their immediate disposal. Found on the second floor, the Ciel Spa at the SLS offers a menu of signature spa treatments and a competent team of therapists. Facilities include herbal steam rooms, a couple’s massage suite, oversized experience showers, and a relaxation lounge.
