The Gunstock Ski Area New Hampshire is located in one of the most picturesque regions in the northeastern United States. The resort is located on Lake Winnipesaukee just south of some of the most picturesque mountains in the state—the White Mountain National Forest in the lakes region of New Hampshire. There are eight lifts that serve 55 trails spread out over a breathtaking 227 acres of terrain. Gunstock has some runs for beginners, but there are also some ski runs that are not at all for the faint of heart. A modest 8 percent are designated for beginners, 72 percent for intermediates, 17 percent are single black diamonds, and 3 percent are double blacks. The Gunstock Ski Area New Hampshire is a place where you people of all ages can take lessons, whether privately or in group settings, but it is also a place where the most advanced skiers and snowboarders will also be able to get their kicks.
There are all kinds of activities onsite at the Gunstock Ski Resort besides just skiing and snowboarding as well. Perhaps you are a family with small children that are more excited about the prospect of sledding or tubing than anything else. You can enjoy a range of run activities, from tubing down hills and sliding across the ice of Lake Squam, to snowshoeing, snowmobiling, and cross-country skiing. Although there are no accommodations at the Gunstock Ski Mountain, there are several lodging options within a fifteen-minute drive. There is a full cafeteria that has a snack bar located in the base lodge, two lounges, an Italian restaurant, ski shop that has rental and repair, a demo center, and a ski school. You will also find boutique shopping, fine dining, and lot of fun live entertainment nearby.
The Gunstock Ski Area New Hampshire has the decided advantage of being located in one of the most beautiful regions of the state. It is one of the main reasons why people have been returning to this place for family ski vacations for over 70 years.
