Ragged Mountain

Ragged Mountain is one of the New Hampshire ski resorts located in the region between the White Mountain National Forest and Green Mountain National Forest. Within just a few miles of the Ragged Mountain Resort you will also find the likes of Mount Sunapee, Pats Peak, and Gunstock. The Ragged Mountain Ski Resort receives an approximate annual snowfall of 100 inches and provides an idyllic setting in the gorgeous state of New Hampshire for winter sports enthusiasts of all stripes. Although skiing and snowboarding are the two most popular pastimes at this destination, you will also find a range of other activities including tubing, Nordic skiing, snowshoeing, and much more.

The top elevation at Ragged Mountain is 2,250 feet with a vertical rise of 1,250 feet. Five lifts provide service to 45 gorgeous ski runs and trails that are dispersed over a 180-acre plot. The ski terrain here includes 30 percent of the ski runs designated for beginner boarders and skiers, 40 percent for intermediates, and 30 percent for experts. The ski season at the Ragged Mountain Resort generally lasts from around the beginning or middle of December to the beginning of April.

There are limited lodging options at the Ragged Mountain Ski Resort, but if people are looking to put together cheap ski vacations, you should plan in advance and try to make reservations at one of the Ragged Mountain bunk rooms. Besides these, the only other onsite lodging is at the Ragged Mountain Golf House. If you want to stay anywhere else you will need to drive into one of the surrounding towns. The good news is, there are plenty of accommodations in many of the surrounding areas where you will find everything from hotels and bed and breakfasts to lodges and condominiums. There are also plenty of opportunities to find great dining and entertainment at the quaint and charming towns that envelop the inviting local ski resorts.

There are three different places where you can catch a meal, snack, or drink (including liquor) at Ragged Mountain. Whether you are looking for a really simple snack like a piece of pizza or a fresh wrap, or something of a more sophisticated meal, the folks at the Ragged Mountain Resort have all of your bases covered. If you want to spend the entire day at the resort, you will not be forced to pack a lunch.

There are several more vital services that are offered at the Ragged Mountain Ski Resort. Families with kids can confidently plan a ski trip to this resort knowing that there is excellent instruction available for people of all ages and skill levels. There is also a ski equipment and rental shop for those people who are in need of gear or who need equipment repaired. Daycare services are available for children, either by the hour or for a full day. Once you have made all of your plans, you can fully enjoy a day or night of skiing and boarding at the Ragged Mountain Resort. Be sure not to miss the three terrain parks, the awesome tubing lanes, and the nighttime skiing when it is available. You will not be disappointed with your trip to Ragged Mountain.
