Atlantic City day trips can actually occur during the day or night. With plenty of casinos, resorts and day time attractions, a day trip to Atlantic City can be equally fun for adults traveling alone and adults traveling with children. Spend your day trip to Atlantic City walking the boardwalk, gambling, shopping, or even riding a rollercoaster. The North Boardwalk

Although the Boardwalk is best avoided in the wee morning hours, it is a delightful and fun place to visit during the day. Atlantic City day trips along the Boardwalk can easily fill the sunlit hours of a vacation morning and afternoon. On the north end of the pier is the Garden Pier Art Center & Historical Museum. While there are often performances taking place at the center, there is also a museum with interesting artifacts to check out on your day trip to Atlantic City.

The South Boardwalk

Further south down the boardwalk as they continue their Atlantic City day trip travelers will find the Ripley’s Believe it or Not Museum and the Amusement Park at the Steel Pier. After spending the day at the boardwalk, have a quick dinner at the Amusement Park or head back into the city for eats at a local restaurant.

Lucy the Elephant

If you have a car for your Atlantic City day trip, you will likely want to drive on this day. Or, travelers using public transportation should have no trouble locating a schedule and making their way to various locations. Spend the morning checking out some of the more spread out attractions in Atlantic City, such as the well known Lucy the Elephant; an enormous building built in the shape of a giant elephant.Relax and enjoy the casinos or great restaurants located in the city itself.

Ocean Life Center and Aquarium

Next, head over toward the ocean for the afternoon portion of your Atlantic City tour to check out the Ocean Life Center and Aquarium, located at the Historic Gardener’s Basin. In the evening, plan to take a sunset dinner cruise with one of the many cruise companies that operate during the day and night as part of Atlantic City tours.

Casino District

Although many travelers plan to visit the casinos in the evening, plenty do spend the day there, as well. Atlantic City tours are almost not fully complete until one visits any of the sparkling casinos that continue to multiple within the city. Caesars, Bally’s and the Sands, names made famous thanks to their Las Vegas counterparts, are all in attendance, as are scores of other casinos that are open throughout the day and night. Atlantic City day trips of the hotel and casino district can be spent gambling, eating out, and of course shopping at some of the finest luxury and discount stores to be found in all of New Jersey.

Steel Pier

Spend time at the Steel Pier, Atlantic City's historic amusement pier.  The pier has games, rides, and plenty to do for everyone in the family.  Particularly in the summer, this is an excellent way to spend a day in Atlantic City.
