Ruidoso New Mexico

Ruidoso New Mexico was named after the Rio Ruidoso or "The Noisy River". The area is a small town with about 9,500 residents and is a charming community settled amidst the Rocky Mountains and surrounded by Lincoln National Forest. Nearby cities include Roswell and Las Cruces and Carslbad Caverns are a short drive away. Being an outdoor paradise there is no lack of things to do in Ruidoso.


During the summer months in Ruidoso New Mexico there's an influx of tourists and the population increases to that about 3 times the size of the town making it by far the busiest season. Set among a heavily treed canyon spotted with small vacation cottages and rustic homes, Ruidoso New Mexico is where the hectic pace of life is taken down a few notches and cool mountain breezes blow through tall, dignified pines.
