The Buffalo Bar and Dance Hall has been a part the tradition of dining in Silver City New Mexico for an impressive over 100 years. This downtown landmark serves up cocktails and live music, as it has done since opening in 1883.

A short trip out of town, you'll find one of the most distinctive Silver City restaurants. The Buckhorn Saloon & Opera House has a new owner who debuted new menus and completed extensive renovations. After stints on the East and West Coasts, the chef came to southern New Mexico to cook up steaks, burgers, and other tasty dinners. Reservations are recommended, and dinner service begins each day at 4 p.m. The saloon has been open since the 1860s, and people come from all around the enjoy the music and the food. The front porch is a great place to watch the sunset. When the weather is cold, patrons stay inside and enjoy the warmth of the fireplace.
