Taos Ski Valley is located two and a half hours from
the Albuquerque airport
and 20 miles from the airport in Taos.

One of the Taos Ski Valley hotels which is popular with skiers is the Historic Taos Inn. This has been a functioning inn since 1936 and has hosted guests such as Greta Garbo and D.H. Lawrence. The inn offers a choice between 44 distinct rooms and suites all adorned in Southwestern design and ranging in price from $75-$275 per night but be sure to check rates before booking. The hotel features the in-house restaurant “Doc Martens” and features the Lobby and Adobe Bar.
Another choice in Taos Ski Valley hotels is the Taos
Mountain Lodge located only 1 mile before the dead-end
at the village of Taos Ski Valley. This Taos lodging has
10 roomy suites to offer guests featuring private bedrooms,
kiva fireplaces, kitchens or kitchenettes and private
ski lockers. This Taos Ski Valley Lodging is only a mile
from restaurants, shops and lifts yet it’s totally
surrounded by national forest giving it a very secluded
feeling. The Lodge boasts the “ best value on the
mountain...get a condo for the price of a room”
and dares visitors to compare their prices to other hotels
in Taos. Sounds like a good deal! Check rates before
booking.
The Snow Bear Inn & Condominiums are located right in the Taos Ski Valley and are one block up the valley from the children’s ski school center. The Snow Bear Inn has studio suites, hotel rooms, and 2 and 3 bedroom condos which have all been recently renovated and redecorated. All rooms are equipped with TV’s, coffee makers, hair dryers, refrigerator, and microwaves. Their log beds are all adorned with hand-made bear quilts and 310-thread count linens which must feel great after a long day of skiing! Rates vary in the different seasons.
Other Taos Ski Valley lodging includes the Alpine Village Suites which are located just “steps to the mountain” and offers 24 suites and studios, most with balconies, all with mini-kitchens and can accommodate up to 6 people. There are adjoining suites and lofts available for larger groups. They have colorfully decorated, spacious, clean and attractive suites available. Pricing range from $65 and up.
Lorelei Lodge is another Taos Ski Valley lodging and overlooks the village of Taos Ski Valley and is in a “moderate to luxury” price range. The lodge is privately owned and located on the south-facing slope. It features a wood stove/ fireplace, open deck with a 4 person hot tub, fully equipped kitchen, satellite TV and four bedrooms plus a sleeping loft. Sitting on a stunning 10,000 foot incline this private lodge has magnificent mountain views. The lodge owner has 30 years of teaching and coaching experience and is one of the most often requested instructors at Taos Ski Valley.
