After undergoing extensive renovations, the Marcel at Gramercy reopened its doors in 2008. Since then, it has been impressing guests with its chic design and its richly appointed rooms. One thing that didn’t change was the hotel’s wonderful location.
As the name implies, you can find the Marcel at Gramercy in the historic Gramercy Park neighborhood. Public transportation is easy to access, as are such other trendy neighborhoods as the Lower East Side, the East Village, Greenwich Village, SoHo, and Chelsea. Marcel at Gramercy guests are basically within reach of everything that Manhattan in general has to offer, including Fifth Avenue shopping and such renowned landmarks as the Empire State Building and the Flatiron Building.
The Marcel at Gramercy has 135 guest units, and they are all stylish and well-equipped. Custom-made beds with high quality linens are among the standard in-room amenity highlights, as are such delights as luxury bath products, MP3-compatible alarm clocks, and flat screen TVs. Guests can request such extras as newspaper delivery, a fridge, a crib, or a rollaway bed as they see fit. Found outside of the Marcel at Gramercy guest units are a restaurant and a lounge that are both very inviting and only serve to increase the upscale hotel’s all around allure.
