Financial District Hotels

Financial District Hotels

The busiest business district in New York, the financial district is home to gigantic skyscrapers, notable world corporation headquarters, the New York Stock Exchange, as well as attractions such as the South Street Seaport Museum, Battery Park City, and the Museum of Jewish Heritage. The Financial District also borders the hip neighborhood of Tribeca (Triangle Below Canal Street) where visitors can find a wide array of art galleries, trendy shops, and loft apartments converted from old warehouses. Financial district hotels, while generally priced on the high end, are a great place to base your New York vacation. By choosing centrally located Financial District accommodations, access to New York’s main attractions are easily within reach.

The Embassy Suites New York City, located at 102 North End Avenue, is everything a person could want when it comes to hotels in New York Financial District. Rich in high end furnishings and amenities, the Embassy Suites New York features two room suites that include two televisions, a well stocked mini bar, high speed internet access (for a surcharge), and plush robes. If you have children, the Embassy Suites is one of the Financial District hotels that they will enjoy the most. The hotel boasts a fun children’s playground, a large children’s menu, and a fitness center. Each guest of the hotel will enjoy a complimentary cooked to order breakfast and a nightly reception that includes an impressive array of beverages, hor deurves, and cocktails. The concierge can provide directions to sites such as the American Museum of Natural History and the Metropolitan Museum of Art, or arrange tickets to Broadway shows or Madison Square Garden concerts.

It’s not impossible to find Financial District accommodations at a reasonable price. The Wall Street Inn, located at 9 South William Street, is an example of hotels in New York Financial District that are in a desirable location and are easy on the budget. Decorated in a classic early American style, the hotel is adorned with marble bathrooms and expensive textiles. The rooms, while relatively small, feature high speed internet access, refrigerators, and 27 inch TVs. While the hotel doesn’t offer its own restaurant, room service is available at the nearby Zagat rated restaurant, Smörgås Chef Restaurant. Guests will also enjoy a complimentary continental breakfast and access to the hotel’s health club. Rates start at $180 a night.

Rivaling virtually all hotels in New York Financial District in terms of style and design is the Exchange Hotel, a small luxury boutique hotel located at 129 Front Street, near the South Street Seaport. Like most Financial District hotels, guest rooms range from a standard double room to a one bedroom suite. The hotel’s chic furnishings and décor complement the stainless steel mini bars and flat panel TVs found in each guest room. The rooms are small, yet comfortable, and feature beds dressed with upscale linens as well as designer bath products. The hotel also offers a complimentary breakfast of homeade pastries, bagels, and croissants served each morning. The downstairs lounge serves happy hour from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. and can accommodate groups ranging from ten to twenty people in its VIP lounge. A board room that seats eight is available for your business needs.  The Exchange hotel is one of your best choices for mid priced Financial District accommodations.
