Often times when people arrive at LaGuardia or John F. Kennedy International airports in Queens, they head straight for attractions in Manhattan, such as Central Park or Madison Square Garden. What most people don't realize is how many things to do there are in the borough of Queens. Queens is divided up into small neighborhoods that are almost more akin to small towns. Duke's Steakhouse is a delicious restaurant to eat at any time of the day. A subway stop is only four blocks away from the hotel and provides access to anywhere in the city.

Not all of New York City's popular attractions are located in Manhattan. There are several Queens hotels located next to must see attractions, such as the Queens Botanical Garden. One of these hotels in Queens is the Anchor Inn. This two star hotel is located in the Bayside area of Queens, a neighborhood popular with Manhattan commuters. The Bayside does not have a restaurant, but there are several restaurants in the Bayside neighborhood. Rates start at $149 a night.

The Clarion Hotel Jamaica is one of the convenient hotels in Queens located just ten minutes from JFK and LaGuardia airports and three minutes from Shea Stadium where you can see a New York Mets game. All of the guest rooms have complimentary wireless internet access, a writing desk, and comfortable bedding. Other amenities include free parking and a complimentary continental breakfast.

Most of the hotels in Queens are just a block or two away from the subway or a bus stop, making it easy to explore the five boroughs of New York. Whether you have a flight to catch at JFK or LaGuardia airports, or you want to catch a New York Yankees or Mets game, hotels in Queens are convenient and affordable options for a vacation in New York City.
