New York City

Brooklyn Bridge – One of the oldest and most well-known bridges in the US, Brooklyn Bridge spans between Manhattan and Brooklyn. It is 1,595.5 feet long and first opened in 1883. Pedestrians or bicyclists can travel across the bridge on a footpath that goes right down the center (but elevated above the vehicular traffic) between the car lanes and many tours include a bridge walk on their itineraries. At night, the Brooklyn Bridge is illuminated and, by night or day, it is one of the greatest symbols of historic New York City.
