Tribeca Hotels

Tribeca Hotels

Tribeca is a district of lower Manhattan whose name stands for “Triangle below Canal Street.” It was once a largely industrial neighborhood, yet revitalization efforts in the past ten years have made it into a lively neighborhood with a mix of loft apartments, trendy boutiques, art galleries, and contemporary Tribeca hotels. Hotels in Tribeca tend to be expensive, with prices starting at $250 and going up. Whatever the expense, many people enjoy the location of Tribeca lodging. Hotels in Tribeca are within walking distance of SoHo, the Financial District, and the World Trade Center Site.

The Tribeca Grand is located at 2 Avenue of the Americas, between Walker and White Streets in a modern industrial looking building. The rooms come complete with iPod docking stations, large desks, a refrigerator, and wireless internet access at a charge. Some of the other amenities of the Tribeca hotel New York City include a gym, room service, a concierge service, and a cocoa and coffee bar on each floor. Keeping up with the trend of allowing pets in hotels in Tribeca and elsewhere in New York, the Tribeca Grand allows certain types of animals. All rooms are facing a large atrium that overlooks an upscale bar and restaurant. The Tribeca hotels bar is sometimes a nuisance to those trying to get to bed early, so if noise is a problem, you may want to look for Tribeca lodging elsewhere.

Another upscale option for hotels in Tribeca is the Duane Street Hotel, located on the corner of Church and Duane Streets. The 45 recently remodeled rooms of the Tribeca hotel New York City features contemporary furniture designed by a local architect. The furniture is accented natural wood floors and bathrooms designed with earth friendly materials. In addition to the Tribeca hotels guest rooms, the Duane Street Hotel also offers Deluxe, Executive, and Junior Suite Rooms. Some of the room amenities include a plasma TV, pillow top mattresses, and natural toiletries. There is also complimentary Wi-Fi and free delivery of the Wall Street Journal daily. “Beca Restaurant,” located on the lower level of the hotel offers appetizers and meals until late into the night and also offers room service.

The Cosmopolitan Hotel- Tribeca is a contemporary Tribeca lodging option that offers rooms ranging from $175-$189, which is considered a bargain. The services offered are minimal and the rooms are small compared to other hotels in Tribeca, but the rooms feature simple yet modern furnishings including a work desk, an armoire, and comfortable bedding. For an additional price, the Tribeca lodging will allow you to upgrade to a larger room with a sofa.

No matter which Tribeca hotel New York City you choose, you’ll be in a safe and stylish neighborhood that is within walking distance of the subway that will bring you to attractions around Manhattan and the neighboring boroughs of New York including Queens, Brooklyn, and the Bronx.
