Saratoga Performing Arts Center

The Saratoga Performing Arts Center consists of a large amphitheater and a smaller indoor theater. Found at 108 Avenue of Pines in Saratoga Springs, New York, the renowned complex is primarily a summer event venue, playing host to opera, classical music, jazz, pop, rock, and dance performances. It serves as the summer home of both the New York City Ballet and the Philadelphia Orchestra and also hosts a Wine & Food Festival. Other uses for the Saratoga Performing Arts Center include high school graduations. Thanks in part to its relationship with Live Nation, the Saratoga Performing Arts Center is able to attract some of the biggest names in the entertainment industry, so you never know who you might come across when checking the event schedule.

Tourism is the main source of income for Saratoga Springs. As such, it only seems reasonable that the general area would be home to a high number of lodging establishments. This is good news for anyone who is searching for accommodations near the Saratoga Performing Arts Center. The hotels in Saratoga Springs come in various forms. There are chain brand motels and hotels, other motels and hotels that aren’t affiliated with chains, inns, bed and breakfasts, and resorts. One of the area resorts, the Gideon Putnam Resort (pictured), is actually found in the same state park that the Saratoga Performing Arts Center calls home: the Saratoga Spa State Park. If you can’t find a hotel in the more immediate Saratoga Springs area, you can branch farther out and see what’s available. New York's capital city of Albany is only some 30 miles south of Saratoga Springs, so the Albany hotels are certainly worth keeping in mind.

As noted in the previous paragraph, the Saratoga Performing Arts Center is found on the grounds of Saratoga Spa State Park. This park is a National Historic Landmark and a great place to enjoy such recreational pursuits as golfing, hiking, and fishing. Campsites are not available at Saratoga Spa State Park, however, so anyone who is interested in Saratoga Performing Arts Center camping will have to look beyond the park limits. Examples of campgrounds that offer proximity to Saratoga Spa State Park and SPAC include Lee’s Park, the Rustic Barn Campground, and the Whispering Pines Campsites and RV Park. Moreau Lake State Park is situated approximately 10 miles north of Saratoga Springs and offers campsites, so that is just one more option to consider.
