The Sterling Renaissance Faire is one of the most distinctive and unique celebrations anywhere in the northeastern United States. Sterling, New York is situated about twenty miles east of Rochester, right by Lake Ontario.
The events are held during the weekends of a six-week period between the beginning of July and the middle of August. It celebrates and recreates an English village or town during the time of the Renaissance and features over 100 performers, including comedians, musicians, and actors. There are quite a few options for tickets to the Sterling Renaissance Faire 2016. You always have the ability to buy single-day or season passes, but there are also packages like the two-day pass, the Queen’s Tea ticket, and the Renewal of Vows Packages, where people love this era so much can even choose to renew their marital vows during the midst of the festival. There are also discounted packages for groups of twenty people or more. The tickets to this festival are very reasonably priced, especially when you consider the wide range of entertainment and attractions to which you will be treated when you arrive.
Directions to Sterling Renaissance Faire
The grounds are located at 15385 Farden Road in Sterling New York. You can access Farden Road from McIntyre Road, which is just off of Highway 104A. To get to 104A, you can use a variety of state routes and highways, including New York 3 West. From NY 3, take a right onto 104A East. Take a sharp left at MacNeil Road and then take the first right to stay on MacNeil. The third right is Farden Road. You will find that this area is relatively remote but that the festival is well marked with signs.

There are a good number of hotels in Rochester, which is less than twenty minutes away. Syracuse is also just about a half hour to the southeast of Sterling. In between you will find a nice variety of guest accommodations, from inns and bed and breakfasts to hotels and budget motels. There are also many beautiful places to camp and enjoy the sheer natural beauty of upstate New York. The entertainment, great food, and convivial atmosphere makes the Sterling Renaissance Festival one of the top events in upstate New York during the summer months. The fact that it is spread out over the course of a month and a half means that more people get to enjoy the festivities as it works with their schedules.
