North Carolina Vacation Rentals

North Carolina vacation rentals are available near the beach as well as up in the mountains in Great Smoky Mountain National Park and throughout the Blue Ridge Mountains. North Carolina vacation rentals can be occupied for a weekend or a week, though travelers should not that there is almost always a 2-night minimum stay, if not longer, imposed on house or condo rentals. North Carolina vacation home rental is an ideal option for families or groups traveling together who want a better rate than they might get by booking a string of hotel rooms.

North Carolina vacation rentals in the Great Smoky Mountains are one of the most popular options for travelers. Many cabins are close to excellent hiking trails or lakes and streams for North Carolina trout fishing. North Carolina vacation home rental in the Great Smoky Mountains will cost travelers between $150 per night and $300 per night. Although there are a few swanky North Carolina vacation rentals, the norm for these cabins more of a rustic appeal. Wood burning fireplaces and moderate furnishings encourage guests to enjoy the forest and activities that surround them. Most North Carolina vacation home rentals sleep at least 4, if not 6 to 8 people comfortably.

Cabin rental packages are also available, many of which are geared toward specific activities such as golf or skiing. Golf and ski cabin rental packages will usually include green fees or lift tickets in with the rental fees. Areas such as Pinehurst are known for their elaborate golf resorts, but there are also some great home rentals to be found in the area. The Appalachian Ski Mountain is another location in North Carolina where guests can find North Carolina vacation home rentals. Some mountain cabin rental packages are also focused on honeymooners and couples, so keep an eye out for these deals that will include some romantic highlights.

If renting at the beach is more your style, try heading for Kill Devil Hills or any area along the Outer Banks coastal area. Often called one of the nicest beaches on the Atlantic shore, the Outer Banks are the perfect place for an extended weekend. Cabins here will also be a few hundred dollars per night, and usually sleep multiple guests. Cape Hatteras and Cape Fear are also good areas near the beach for locating a vacation rental. Note that no matter where you stay, most homes and cabin rentals will have a limit on the number of people allowed in your cabin, and may charge a fee for each extra person staying in the cabin beyond that limit. You will almost always be required to provide a refundable damage deposit upon renting your unit.
