Valley City Hotels

The Valley City hotels are few in number, which is why many visitors look to the surrounding area to complement their lodging choices. All of the hotels in Valley City North Dakota are discount hotels, which means that it's relatively easy to stay on top of your budget here. The Valley City motels, which aren't prolific in number either, aren't the most attractive hotels in the state, and they certainly won't be confused for luxury hotels. They are clean and comfortable on the whole, however, and can provide you with a safe and dependable place to rest your head at night. There are a decent amount of bed and breakfast-style inns that can be found in and around Valley City, and they help to make up for the relative lack of standard Valley City hotels. You can also look to the area campgrounds when looking to expand your Valley City lodging options. Information on the more standard Valley City accommodations can be found in the following paragraphs, and there is also a recommendation for a good bed and breakfast hotel, which should prove to be ideal for couples who are planning a romantic North Dakota vacation.

The AmericInn arguably takes top honors when it comes to the best hotels in Valley City North Dakota, and you can find it just off of I-94, which makes for a convenient location. There are a variety of room types to choose from at the AmericInn, and if you have room in the budget to splurge a little, the suites that feature fireplaces and whirlpool tubs are the way to go. That's not to say that the other guest units are shabby. There are a number of standard amenities that all the rooms and suites offer here, and they include free internet access, cable TV, a coffee maker, a radio alarm clock, a mini-fridge, voice mail, a work desk, an in-room safe, free local calls, a hair dryer, and an iron and ironing board. Free high-speed internet access is available as well if you want to keep in touch with friends via email or plan area tours on your personal laptop. As for the suites here, they boast an array of extra amenities, including added space, a full-size refrigerator, a kitchen, and additional furnishings. Outside of the rooms, the AmericInn boasts a 9-hole golf course, an indoor pool, a hot tub, a patio, an outdoor BBQ grill for guest use, a meeting room, and a game area. You can walk to a couple of restaurants from the hotel, and a free breakfast is included in the rates, which is a nice bonus. There's a lot to like about the AmericInn, which is why it's the front runner among the hotels in Valley City North Dakota.

The Super 8 Motel is arguably the best of the Valley City motels, as the Super 8 brand of motels are among the best cheap hotels in North Dakota. Like most of the other Super 8 Motels in the state and across the country, this one offers clean, well-priced rooms. Free cable TV, free internet access, and free local calls are among the amenities that you'll enjoy in the guest rooms here, and other in-room amenities include an alarm clock, a hair dryer, and air conditioning. A continental breakfast is included in the low rates here, and there is a restaurant next door if you are looking for a convenient place to grab a bite to eat. Also within the general area are a golf course and some fishing spots.

As mentioned in the opening paragraph, the Valley City hotels are of the discount variety, so they won't satisfy everyone. As long as you aren't the kind of person that needs tons of amenities, the hotels in Valley City North Dakota should meet your needs. If you demand more in the way of amenities, it might be best to look elsewhere in the area, such as Fargo or Jamestown. The rooms at the Wagon Wheel Inn definitely don't qualify as luxurious, but they are cheap. Cable TV, air conditioning, a small table with chairs, a telephone, and an alarm clock are about the extent of the standard amenities. The suites here offer a bit more, including a microwave and a mini-fridge if you are interested.

When the more standard Valley City motels and hotels don't cut it for you, there are some area bed and breakfast inns that are worth considering. Among them is the President's House Guest Inn, which can be found on the campus of Valley City State University. A Victorian-style inn, the President's House is quite attractive, and you can hardly find fault with the location. There are only four rooms to choose from here, and two of them share a bath while the others boast their own private bathrooms. As is true at the Wagon Wheel Inn, the rooms here are a bit devoid of amenities, though they are clean and offer a homey feel.
