As befits a city the size of Oklahoma
City, there is an excellent array of Oklahoma City hotels and motels. Travelers
here tend to belong to two distinct categories; either you're a business traveler
looking for comfortable surroundings from which to conduct work, or you're on
vacation and in town for the glut of attractions
such as the Oklahoma
City Museum of Art and the Oklahoma
City Zoo. Whatever the case, from high-end hotels to affordable Oklahoma
City motels and other such cheap Oklahoma City lodging, you'll find accommodation
in Oklahoma City that covers the whole board of options.
For those looking to surround themselves in true luxury or high-end hospitality, Oklahoma City boasts accommodation by recognizable franchise names. Marriott, for example, has a strong presence in the city, with the Courtyard by Marriott Oklahoma City Downtown an abiding favorite for many. Next door to the Ford Center, and only two minutes walk from the thriving nightlife spot of Bricktown, the hotel's situation is clearly an attraction. But it excels in more than just its whereabouts; with modern decor, friendly staff, a deluxe heated indoor pool, and 225 rooms that feature excitingly quick broadband and beds in which to lose yourself, the Courtyard by Marriott Oklahoma City Downtown is one of the best Oklahoma City hotels around.
Another of Marriott's Oklahoma City hotels is the Marriott Oklahoma City. Situated a block from Lake Hefner (one of the city's many lakes that make for excellent fishing), this is a slightly smaller affair than its Bricktown cousin. Accordingly, it's cheaper than the Courtyard by Marriott Oklahoma City Downtown, with facilities angled more towards the business traveler.
For cheap Oklahoma City Lodging, the Oklahoma City Days Inn proves a well situated and reliable choice. Found in the northeast side of town, the motel is right next to the city's fabled Adventure District, where you'll find the city's zoo, a theme park, and much more. The motel itself is a well-run franchise type of place, with clean rooms featuring a breakfast bar, indoor heated pool, and all the room amenities you'd expect (pay a little extra and you get your own Jacuzzi too). Days Inn owns more than one of the Oklahoma City motels, and if you wish to stay close to the airport, the Oklahoma City Days Inn West Airport is always an option. Rooms here come a little cheaper; accordingly, the standard is a touch lower, although the motel's proximity to the airport is obviously a major bonus.
Another excellent option in terms of cheap Oklahoma City lodging is the Howard Johnson Inn Oklahoma City Remington Park, which recently underwent a face lift and now features exemplary motel rooms; clean, comfy, and well furnished with amenities. It also offers a standard fitness room, and pets welcome policy. Although a small charge is levied for the latter, you won't find such a policy in many of the other Oklahoma City motels.
