Tahlequah Hotels

As is the case in many of the towns and cities across Oklahoma State, Tahlequah hotels are largely of the chain variety. They far eclipse Tahlequah motels in number, although fortunately the prices never rise above the affordable, meaning a stay here won't weigh too heavily on your financial shoulders. Tahlequah itself offers a number of attractions; it sits at the base of the Ozark Mountains, and is home to both Cherokee and Native American Heritage. As such, cheap lodging in Tahlequah is geared for both the business and pleasure traveler, and you'll find a good mixture of efficiency and amiability in the majority of the Tahlequah hotels and Tahlequah motels. When choosing your Tahlequah accommodation, you may wish to consider some of the suggestions below.

One of the cheapest options in town is the Super Inn and Suites Tahlequah. It's situated extremely close to Northeastern State University, so parents in town to visit studious loved ones will find the Super Inn convenient in the extreme. While not the most luxurious of Tahlequah hotels, the Super Inn is in good working order, with 35 well-maintained and air-conditioned rooms offering comfortable bedding and cable TV. What's more, the price (which matches some of the Tahlequah motels) includes parking (cars and trucks), continental breakfast and WiFi access. Those traveling with pets will find a home here, although it's best to phone ahead and let the management know as to the nature of your traveling buddy.

Another option for cheap lodging in Tahlequah is the Holiday Inn Express Tahlequah. Close to the university, and also a Cherokee heritage center (one of Tahlequah's principle tourist attractions), the hotel offers everything you'd expect from a Holiday Inn Express: a 24-hour front desk, free internet connection, a gym, a swimming pool, and a business center. Rooms are spacious, nicely decorated, and well preserved, and there's even a children's suite at hand for those traveling with younger ones. In terms of dining options, while the hotel does not offer an evening meal (breakfast is included in the price), two restaurants are within a minute's walk of the front door.

The Best Western Tahlequah Inn is one of the higher-priced joints in town, although at around a hundred dollars a night it still qualifies as cheap lodging in Tahlequah. For your money, you get one of 41 rooms replete with a 27-inch TV, microwave, refrigerator, and free broadband connection. You'll also get a continental breakfast, and use of the pool and exercise room (both small but adequate) included in the price. The Best Western Tahlequah Inn offers a business center for those in town on moneymaking quests, and with a selection of great Oklahoma lakes and golfing possibilities nearby, it's also well situated for post-work relaxation.
