Cannery Pier Hotel
10 Basin Street
Astoria, Oregon

The Cannery Pier Hotel in Astoria, Oregon is a forty-six unit upscale boutique hotel which offers its customers a glimpse into Astorias historic and bustling waterfront past. The pier extends 600 feet into the Columbia River and provides hotel guests unparalleled views. From this vantage point the guest feels like a participant in the river traffic, not just a spectator. Located at the mouth of the river, this site was originally the Union Fishermans Cooperative Packing Company which processed and canned salmon, tuna, and various other Northwest fish. At one time Astoria was the salmon canning capital of the world and its bustling waterfront was like a mini San Francisco. Through its design and attention to detail, the look and feel of the Cannery Pier Hotel reflects the architecture of the original 1900 Union Fish Packing Cooperative Cannery building.
