Bed and Breakfasts in Oregon

Bed and Breakfasts in Oregon

Bed and Breakfasts in Oregon are incredibly common. Something about the often grey sky of the coastline or the lazy feeling of the Willamette Valley seems to inspire such accommodation. What ever the reasons for their ubiquitous nature, Oregon Bed and Breakfasts are among some of the best in the United States. If you like the idea of staying in an historic home and eating a homemade breakfast in the company of fellow travelers, Bed and Breakfasts are the perfect option.

All along the Oregon coast, guests will find Oregon Bed and Breakfasts. Most are small, offering only about ten or so rooms at the most. For this reason, it is usually a good idea to book your stay well in advance. Some Bed and Breakfasts in Oregon will have a closing time, meaning that you will need to make special arrangements if you plan to arrive late at night. So, it is often unlikely that you will be able to simply drop in on a Bed and Breakfast the way you might with a larger hotel.

In addition to the many Bed and Breakfasts along the coast, there are also some great Bed and Breakfast Portland Oregon offers. Found right in the heart of downtown Portland, a number of excellent Victorian mansions have been restored to their former glory and then some. A typical Bed and Breakfast Portland Oregon offers will offer classy surroundings, but will not often be the cheapest deal in town. The idea, though, is to have a little fun while on vacation, so be sure to enjoy all of the goodies of your Oregon Bed and Breakfast stay while you are there. One of the best known Bed and Breakfast Portland Oregon offers is the Heron Haus. Rather than being in the urban section of the city, the Heron Haus is tucked back into one of the most stunning neighborhoods in Portland, up on a hill with the city visible below. While in Portland you’ll be in perfect position to visit the Portland Art Museum, the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry, or the Portland Rose Garden.

The Springbrook Hazelnut Farm is also one of the best Bed and Breakfasts in Oregon, located in the smaller town of Newberg. Located in Yamhill County, the Springbrook Hazelnut Farm is the perfect place from which to explore the surrounding wineries. The bed and breakfast itself features various cottages and a carriage house. All of the rooms have their own bathrooms and are invidually furnished. The Willamette Gables Riverside Estate, also in Newberg, was modeled after a Mississippi plantation home. Meant to replica the expansive nature of an enormous southern house, multiple bedrooms make this one of the largest and most fun bed and breakfasts in Oregon.

Not to be outdone, the city of Eugene has its own array of Oregon Bed and Breakfasts, as does the entirety of the Willamette Valley. The Secret Garden in particular is of note. The building is one of the oldest in Eugene, and was once home to Eugene’s founding family. A number of great festivals and activities can be enjoyed in Eugene, along with plenty of outdoor pursuits thanks to the beauty of the area. The Willamette Valley is by far the best place for wine tasting in the Pacific Northwest. No matter where you go in Oregon, you won’t be far from a Bed and Breakfast. The state of Oregon even maintains a Bed and Breakfast Guild, which can give interested travelers the most up-to-date information about their favorite Bed and Breakfast establishments in Oregon.
