Jeld-Wen Field

Jeld-Wen Field (formerly PGE Park) is a multipurpose venue that can be found in Portland Oregon. Home to the Portland Beavers Minor League Baseball team, the park plays host to its fair share of baseball games. The Portland Timbers, a USL First Division League soccer team, also calls the park home, as do the football teams of Portland State University and Central Catholic High School. Other sporting events and even concerts are held there from time to time. In other words, visitors will have lots of different events to choose from when buying Jeld-Wen Field tickets.

Jeld-Wen Field has occupied the same downtown spot since it opened in 1926. The exact address is 1844 SW Morrison. Originally, the venue was known as Multnomah Stadium. After that, it was called the Civic Stadium for some time. While Jeld-Wen Field is an outdoor stadium, it doesn't have a natural grass playing surface, which may be addressed in the future as plans to convert it into a soccer-first venue have been discussed. Baseball is still the main focus and the sport for which the stadium was originally designed.

Most of the seats at Jeld-Wen Field are found in the grandstands that extend along the baselines from one foul pole to another. From time to time, stands are also placed in the outfield to accommodate larger crowds. The number of seats available at Jeld-Wen Field varies depending on the event. For Portland Beavers games, there are 11,857 seats, while other sporting events usually see the stadium offering almost 20,000 seats. When a concert is the event of choice, 23,136 seats are available. Jeld-Wen Field tickets, regardless of the event, can sometimes go fast, so buying yours in advance is recommended when possible.

The Portland Beavers, it should be noted, are affiliated with the San Diego Padres Major League Baseball franchise. The team plays in the Pacific Coast League and has existed as such since 2001. Multiple franchises have actually used the Beavers name going as far back as 1903, in which case the team itself claims to have been around since then. Regardless of their exact history, today's Portland Beavers provide baseball-loving locals and tourists alike with numerous opportunities to enjoy America's Pastime in Oregon's largest city. Portland Beavers tickets are relatively easy to come by, as there are a bunch of home games to choose from. The regular season runs from early April to early September.

Whether your Jeld-Wen Field tickets are for a sporting event or a concert, you can expect to enjoy a pleasant experience at the park. The stadium features a state-of-the-art lighting system for night events, while no less than ten concession stands provide food and drink options both day and night. When nature calls during your visit, there are 31 restrooms found throughout. Tours of Jeld-Wen Field can be arranged if you want to learn all about the historic venue's facilities and amenities. In addition to covering the history of the venue, these tours also offer insight into the multimillion dollar renovations that have helped to keep it current.

Parking at Jeld-Wen Field is limited, so you might rely on public transportation instead. The Tri-Met buses are among the public transportation options, and it is also possible to use the MAX light rail system. The light rail stop for the stadium is right out front. Stay at one of the many great downtown hotels, and you will have the option of walking to the stadium.
