Oregon ski resorts impressive in number, but the quality of runs and Oregon skiing continues to draw great skiers and snowboarders from around the world. With some of North America's longest ski seasons, Oregon ski resorts such as Timberline, Ski Bowl Oregon and others have easily become some of the most appealing places to ski in the Pacific Northwest.

Mt. Bachelor Oregon remains one of the North America's best ski resorts, not to mention the best place to ski Oregon according to many locals. While there is a good mix of groomed runs for every level of skier, Mt. Bachelor is most famous for the challenging terrain that distinguishes its runs from many others. World-class athletes, including Olympians, use Mt. Bachelor as a training course during the off-season. The main area for lodging at Mt. Bachelor is Mt. Bachelor Village, one of the best Oregon ski resorts in the state. In the village, prices generally start at $150 per night and go up from there.  If you don't want to shell out quite that much cash, you can also stay in a nearby town and take advantage of shuttle service up to the mountain. In addition to the great Oregon skiing, Mt. Bachelor now also caters heavily to snowboarders.

Ski Bowl Oregon is another great place for Oregon skiing. Located on Mt. Hood, Ski Bowl Oregon is more than just a ski resort, however. During the summer, the chairlift stays open and ferries guests up to the top of the mountain for hiking and more. Mountain biking is also a popular activity at Ski Bowl during the summer. Alpine sliding is also gathering steam as a favorite activity among visitors; guests hop in a bobsled and enjoy a ride down the side of a mountain, without the snow. Hood website.  There, you will find links to area resorts and pricing information.  You should expect to pay about $100 a night at least, although great deals can be obtained by traveling as a group and booking a vacation rental or shared condo.

Also located on Mt. Hood is the famous Timberline Lodge, another popular place for Oregon skiing. Oregon ski packages at Timberline Lodge are quite numerous, offering packages that combine accommodation with lift tickets and sometimes rentals, where applicable.  A package for the weekend will cost about $100 - $200 and will include skis (or a snowboard), bindings, boots, poles (for skiers) and a your lift ticket. Timberline Lodge is one of Oregon's most beautifully crafted lodges, built from wood in the 1930's and site of multiple movie sets. Timberline remains one of the best places for Oregon skiing thanks to the nice variety of runs and its proximity to nearby Oregon towns.

No matter where you choose to ski, you will find Oregon ski packages available for your trip. Most ski packages will team your overnight stay with your lift ticket prices and sometimes offer a discount on meals, such as some packages do for guests at the Mt. Bachelor Village.  If you are planning to rent equipment for the duration of your vacation, be sure to take advantage of a rental package.  Rather than renting each morning, you can pay one (lower) price and keep your equipment until the end of your vacation, which will save time standing in line each morning.  Seasonal rental packages are available at most resorts and can be as low as $99 for the whole season.   If you plan to ski Oregon for more than a day, a ski package is worth looking into. It can be a good way to get discounted prices on multiple lift tickets and accommodation.
