Hershey Hotels

The themed town of Hershey continues to be a major vacation destination for families. Hershey Park, with more than 50 rides, which include gentle rides for children and 11 of the nation's biggest roller coasters, is a great year-round vacation spot. A number of golf courses are also located throughout the town for adults to enjoy, and some of the most popular family hotels even offer babysitting. Hershey hotels include some luxurious resorts with golf packages, as well as Hershey lodges meant to accommodate families with children.

The Hotel Hershey

The Hotel Hershey is one the most popular places for Hershey accommodations and a particular favorite for families. With more than 200 guest rooms spread over 5 different floors, this one of the largest Hershey hotels in town. There is also an onsite spa featuring facials, massage, nail treatments and other spa services. First constructed in 1933, this Hershey hotel is also one of the first hotels to spring up in the town of Hershey and comes with its own history. Guests of this Hershey lodge will also have access to the Hershey Country Club.

The Milton Motel

Although not found right next to Hershey Park, the Milton Motel is only about two miles from the park and travelers staying in these Hershey accommodations will have access to an outdoor pool, a game room and an onsite restaurant. All rooms at this Hershey hotel feature their own refrigerators and microwaves, as well a coffee maker.

The Suites at Hershey

This all suite hotel is one of the best choices among Hershey lodges for travelers looking for extra spaces and amenities. With only 24 rooms, however, this smaller hotel will definitely require advance reservations. The Suites at Hershey features a game room, an outdoor basketball court, an indoor and an outdoor swimming pool and room service. The hotel is also located just a few minutes walk from Hershey Park.

Hershey Lodge and Convention Center

This is one of the largest hotels for Hershey accommodations and a popular place for conventions and business travelers as the hotel features the largest convention center in Hershey. The hotel has more than 600 rooms as well two bars, an indoor and outdoor swimming pool, three restaurants and four tennis courts. This is also one of the only Hershey hotels with a miniature golf course at the hotel. Many travelers also enjoy this hotel due to the fact that guests can also rent cars right inside the hotel.

For a side trip from Hershey, try a drive to Lancaster, Gettysburg or Philadelphia. Each of these great Pennsylvania towns is less than 2 hours by car from Hershey and all of them offer some interesting attractions. Gettysburg is home to the Gettysburg National Military Park and site of the Battle of Gettysburg. The city of Philadelphia is where guests will find Love Park, the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall and the fascinating Franklin Institute, where families can let children learn about science through hands-on exhibits.
