Pennsylvania resorts come in a variety of shapes and sizes and have long figured among the most popular vacation destinations in the eastern United States. Pennsylvania is a hilly and mountainous state that gets its fair share of snow in the winter. As such, it only makes sense that it is home to numerous ski resorts. The longest trail is more than a mile long, and plenty of lifts are in place to move skiers and snowboarders around regardless of the kinds of trails that they have in mind. The Seven Springs Mountain Resort is hardly just a skiing and snowboarding destination, however. You can visit year round, with other activity options including such things as hiking, fishing, golfing, and horseback riding. Nemacolin Woodlands Resort

Another notable Pennsylvania resort that can be found in the western part of the state is the Nemacolin Woodlands Resort (pictured above). More specifically found south of Pittsburgh near the West Virginia border, this resort in Farmington features the 5 star Falling Rock boutique hotel, an upscale lodge, spacious townhomes, and impressive home rentals. Resorts in the Poconos

The resorts in the Poconos definitely deserve some special attention when it comes to discussions about the various resorts in Pennsylvania. Among these resorts are several ski resorts, with examples including the Camelback Mountain Ski Resort and the Big Boulder Ski Area. Mountain ski resorts aren’t the only kinds of resorts that are found in the Poconos, however. There are plenty of resort hotels.
