There are also some fun side trips travelers can take from Anderson. The city of Greenville is located just to the north of Anderson, as is the town of Spartanburg. In Greenville, a trip to the Greenville Zoo or a hike from Greenville into the Blue Ridge Mountains can be a great way to spend a day or an entire weekend. From Greenville, camping, hiking and whitewater rafting are also popular pursuits.
