Myrtle Beach, South Carolina is where travelers will find more than 100 golf courses, a host of popular museums, a water park, an amusement park, and of course the miles and miles of beautiful coastline and beaches. In addition to the many golf resorts and Myrtle Beach hotels, Myrtle Beach vacation rentals are a great way to stay in Myrtle Beach as a group or as a family. The most popular vacation rentals Myrtle Beach are condos and houses located right on the beach. Myrtle Beach vacation rentals will not come cheap, however. Prices start in the range of $1200 per week and increase from there. Although guests can obtain North Myrtle Beach vacation rentals for a few days rather than a week, there is a 3-night stay minimum imposed on almost all vacation rentals Myrtle Beach offers.

Among the different types of Myrtle Beach vacation rentals, private home rental is one popular way to go. Some locals and other own private homes and vacation properties in Myrtle Beach, and when they cannot use their vacation home they rent it out to travelers for a weekend or week. When renting a private home, it is usually best to go through an agency which rents homes for people. This is a good way to ensure that the proper insurance is in place for your trip (you do not need to buy your own insurance for damages, but you will need to pay a security deposit. Private North Myrtle Beach vacation rentals will come fully furnished and will feature their own kitchens, though you will need to bring your own food. Houses can sleep between 4 and 12 guests.

Vacation rentals Myrtle Beach through rental condos is another way to go when looking for a rental property. Much like private homes, guests of a condo will need to pay a refundable deposit to cover incidentals, but will not need their own renter’s insurance. Oceanfront condos will be the most expensive choice. If being in the first row of condos is not a priority to you, look into booking a slightly less expensive condo by booking a bit further back from the ocean. Condos usually sleep between 4 and 8 guests.

Luxury vacation rentals are also available in Myrtle Beach. Luxury properties often feature Jacuzzis, outdoor swimming pools, indoor gas fireplaces and additional square footage for the maximum amount of vacation space. Most luxury rentals are also located right on the beach, with private access to the sand and private outdoor decks. Expect to pay upwards of $3000 per week for luxury vacation rentals. Wherever you stay, some great activities await you in Myrtle Beach. Charter a fishing boat, head out to the golf course, or spend a day traveling to nearby cities such as Greenville or Georgetown.
