South Carolina Resorts

The state of South Carolina is home to a number of great resorts, many of which focus on golfing, but some which are simply family-oriented or located close to the beach. Myrtle Beach, Hilton Head and Charleston are some of the most prominent places to find South Carolina resorts. South Carolina golf resorts can be easily located in Hilton Head and Myrtle Beach, as can a number of great South Carolina beach resorts.

One popular choice among South Carolina resorts is the Hilton Head Crowne Plaza Resort found in town in Hilton Head. This is one of the more popular South Carolina beach resorts in Hilton Head that does not feature golf courses. The resort is found on the grounds of the Shipyard Plantation, which is a piece of land that stretches for over 800 acres. Two restaurants, a bar, 2 pools and a Jacuzzi make this one of the most fun South Carolina beach resorts in Hilton Head. The resort also offers bikes for guest use while staying at the hotel, which can be a care-free way to head for the beach or go shopping in town.

One of the more popular South Carolina resorts in Myrtle Beach is the Ocean Reef Resort, located as the name suggests right on the beach. Many rooms feature great views of the ocean and parking is free. Rooms will cost guests between $100 and $150 per night, which is a reasonable rate among resorts in Myrtle Beach. The Ocean Reef Resort is also located close to town and the Myrtle Beach Amusement Park, a favorite attraction for families in particular.

Another popular choice among South Carolina resorts is the Wild Dunes Resort, one of the most popular South Carolina golf resorts in Charleston. Not only is this one of the best South Carolina golf resorts in Charleston, but the resort is located close to the water and is set on a quiet, 16-acre plot of land which is perfect for relaxing. Golf packages are available for the 2-18 hole golf courses found on site. There are also 2 restaurants, a bar, 4 outdoor pools, 18 tennis courts, a sauna and babysitting services available. Rooms are between $120 and $300 for a standard room, although prices for golf vacation packages will differ.

The Disney Hilton Head Resort is also another popular resort in South Carolina. All of the units at Disney Hilton Head Resort feature kitchens, ideal for parents who want to keep meal costs low. Babysitting services are also available for parents, and room rates are within the range of the other major resorts of Hilton Head. Swimming and trips to the nearby beach are a popular activity for guests of the Disney Hilton Head Resort.

In general, patrons of South Carolina resorts should note that prices are somewhat higher for resorts during the summer than during any other time of the year. Booking golf or fishing packages is a good way to try and keep costs low, as is booking toward the beginning or end of the busiest season.
