Gatlinburg Tennessee

Gatlinburg Tennessee

Gatlinburg Tennessee is enclosed on three sides by The Great Smoky Mountains National Park and is a happily frenetic tourist town in the busier seasons with millions pouring in ever year. Gatlinburg Tennessee is only officially home to just over 3,400 people. Gatlinburg Tennessee offers isolated expanses and mountain ridges for camping and trails happily winding along magnificent mountain scenery. Mountain sides are dotted with Gatlinburg chalets and cabins, some overlooking the mountain laurels while others are tucked back by rocky brooks or hollows affording the utmost privacy in serene natural settings. Here anglers revel in 2,115 miles of streams and hikers explore over 850 miles of trail networks. Beyond the mountain cabins lies the city center of Gatlinburg Tennessee where there are many things to see and do.

Gatlinburg’s natural paradise is the attraction for some people while others are interested in Gatlinburg attractions closer to town. A hike along one of the many trials in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park is still one of the more revered Gatlinburg attractions and is a nice way to get out for an afternoon or a full day. Ripley’s Aquarium is another of the fun Gatlinburg attractions to pay a visit to and is open 365 days a year!

Open year-round, the Gatlinburg Skylift to the top of Crocket Mountain provides a spectacular view of the area while the Smoky Mountain Winery is an award winning winery offering a tasting of over 20 of their wines and free day tours of the winery. Both the Mysterious mansion of Gatlinburg and the Ripley’s Haunted Adventure offer fun and “terrifying” experiences and are great Gatlinburg attractions to visit with the family.

Romance abounds in Tennessee and Gatlinburg weddings are especially popular because of the striking outdoor setting. Majestic views of the Great Smoky Mountains provide an exceptionally romantic backdrop and choices between secluded Gatlinburg hotels and chalets offer the perfect place for a honeymoon retreat.

The Parkway has plenty of dining possibilities and some couples choose one of the finer restaurants to host a pre-wedding or post wedding dinner. Over 100 restaurants in Gatlinburg can accommodate different sized wedding parties and offer fantastic cuisine from ethnic food to good old down-home cooking.

Several churches and chapels are available for Gatlinburg weddings and florists, caterers, dress shops and photographers about the area can be of service during the special day. Thousands of couples choose Gatlinburg weddings, professing their love in the heart of the Smoky Mountains. Outdoor weddings have gained a lot of popularity over the years as there’s nothing more candid then saying wedding vows amongst the beauty of nature. Gatlinburg weddings are popular for this fact and many people get married right inside Great Smoky Mountains National Park. All that’s needed is a permit which is extremely affordable and convenient to obtain.

Some bed and breakfasts offer gorgeous backdrops perfect for a special wedding day with manicured gardens and quaint architecture. Repeating vows in a gorgeous mountain wedding makes for an unforgettable experience for you, family and friends and exploring the area before or after a wedding celebration can be the perfect way to connect to each other and nature forever
