Austin Airport Hotels

Austin Airport hotels provide air travelers with convenient places to stay, and even if you aren't flying into town, they are worth keeping in mind. Since the Austin International Airport is just five miles from the Downtown District, the airport hotels are relatively close to all the great Downtown area attractions. The friendly rates at the hotels near Austin International Airport are another reason why any and all travelers might find them attractive, and it doesn't hurt that the majority offer free perks.

Even the more upscale Austin Airport accommodations are reasonably priced, and they include the Hilton Hotel and the Courtyard by Marriott. The Hilton Austin Airport Hotel is just a two-minute ride from the terminal, and as is customary of all the Austin Airport hotels, it offers complimentary airport shuttle transportation to its guests. Once guests arrive at the hotel, spacious guestrooms await. Standard amenity highlights include flat-screen TVs, brand name bath amenities, ample work desks, and marble vanities. As is true at most of the hotels near Austin International Airport, complimentary Internet access can be enjoyed in the Hilton Austin Airport rooms, helping to make for a convenient and enjoyable stay. Facilities at the Hilton Austin Airport Hotel include event and meeting space, a business center, a casual restaurant and bar, a café, a swimming pool, and a fitness room.

The Courtyard by Marriott isn't as upscale as the Hilton Austin Airport Hotel, though many travelers should find the comfort and amenities to be more than satisfactory. Free high-speed Internet access adds to the overall value at the Courtyard by Marriott Austin South/Airport, and for business travelers, the large desks with ergonomic chairs and the full-service business center are especially welcoming. There are 106 total guest units at the Courtyard by Marriott Austin Airport Hotel, and while the rooms are relatively spacious, those who require added space can hope to book one of the four suites. In both the rooms and the suites, cable TV, air conditioning, mini bars, coffee makers, and hair dryers figure among the standard amenities. There is also a pool and an onsite fitness center. Teeing it up for a round of golf at one of the nearby courses is also an option.

A number of Austin Airport hotels offer a similar experience as the Courtyard by Marriott, and they include the Fairfield Inn Austin South/Airport and the Staybridge Suites Austin Airport. Both of these Austin Airport accommodations offer a lot of bang for the traveler's buck, with free perks including complimentary parking, Internet access, and continental breakfasts. While they aren't luxury hotels, both the Fairfield Inn Austin South/Airport and the Staybridge Suites Austin Airport offer a relatively complete array of services and amenities.

The Staybridge Suites actually offers what are arguably the most attractive Austin Airport accommodations, as its spacious guest units feature especially tasteful decors and full kitchens. After a long day spent visiting museums, enjoying some outdoor recreation at Zilker Park, or any other number of things, having a private kitchen to prepare a convenient meal can be a very good thing, as venturing out to a restaurant might prove taxing.

While the Staybridge Suites Austin Airport Hotel offers enticing rates, there are hotels near Austin International Airport that are even cheaper. Some of the best cheap hotels that are within easy reach of the terminal include the Quality Inn and Suites Airport Hotel and the two Super 8 motels. At the Quality Inn and Suites Hotel, the spacious guest rooms feature desks, free high-speed Internet access, cable TV, coffee makers, mini refrigerators, microwaves, irons, and hair dryers. In the morning, a free continental breakfast and all the hot coffee that you can drink can be enjoyed. In some of the rooms, added amenities include whirlpool tubs, wet bars, and sofa sleepers. A guest computer is on hand at the Quality Inn and Suites Austin Airport, and facilities include a seasonal outdoor pool and an exercise room.

The Super 8 motels that can be found near the Austin Airport are excellent alternatives to the Quality Inn and Suites, as they are both cheap and full of enticing perks. In the guest rooms, for example, free high-speed Internet access, cable TV, DVD players, and air conditioning are just some of the amenities that guests can expect to enjoy. Free continental breakfasts can help guests get ready for activities such as hiking excursions at Mount Bonnell, and special pizza and movie packages can be booked when capping off a good day with a fun night in is the aim.

These are just some of the hotels near Austin International Airport that travelers can consider when looking for a good place to stay in the Texas Capital. Quality and value is what the Austin Airport accommodations are all about, and that's why they have little trouble attracting guests, whether those guests be traveling for business or for pleasure.
