Dallas Convention Center

The other major space for events at Dallas Convention Center, the Naomi Bruton Theatre is well equipped with plush seats and a stage large enough for Broadway-style plays and elaborate operas. As the home base for the Black Academy of Arts and Letters, the theater hosts a wide array of cultural events, including live music, dance performances, and plays. The complex also includes a small, intimate theater and a gift shop. The James E. Kemp Art Gallery is another place to connect with the arts at the Dallas Convention Center Complex.

You'll also have the chance to view some artwork and connect with history at Pioneer Plaza. This gathering space, right outside the convention center is distinctly Texan in scope. The most striking thing to see is the collection of bronze statues representing a cattle drive. Three cowboys lead 49 longhorn cattle through an actual stream, alongside of native Texan trees and plants. The four-acre plaza hosts a variety of special events, especially when the weather is warm.

Several downtown Dallas hotels are located withing in walking distance of the convention center, providing a place rest and regroup. After a day on your feet or a late-night event, it's nice to have accommodations close by. The Dallas Convention Center hotels offer special rates and packages to convention attendees. Several of the luxury hotels are located within a short distance of the convention center, including the Crowne Plaza Hotel Dallas Downtown, the Hotel Lawrence, and the Hotel Indigo. A trip to the top of Reunion Tower will afford amazing views of the city as well as one of the most chic dining experiences in town.

Close to your hotel, you'll have the chance to visit the Dallas Museum of Art and admire the distinctive architecture of the Dallas skyline. There's also great shopping and dining within a few blocks of the convention center and the surrounding hotels.
